List of Rahul Dewan's Reviews
Unbelievable! I was sitting in the waiting area early this morning for my appointment with Dr. Dewan (Neurologist) in Warrenton and his nurse Christin comes out and tells me that the doctor will not be able to see me because I have a spinal cord injury. She said he doesn’t see anyone that is dealing with a spinal cord injury. I told her that I was referred by my PCP at Piedmont Family Practice in Warrenton. I fully disclosed everything to Dewan’s office on the phone when I made the appointment back on 10/11/22 (like 7 weeks ago). I also spent lots of time completing all of their online paperwork. I told the nurse that the doctor gave me an unacceptable answer and I wanted to speak with him about it now and she said he wasn’t available to talk. I then demanded that the doctor call me today so we can have a discussion about this situation. It’s now 5:40 pm and I never received a phone call from Dr. Dewan. What kind of an operation is this guy running?
This place is the worst. I’ve been having seizures for quite a while now and they keep making me reschedule my appointment because they are not able to get my results from an EEG I had 2 months ago! They brought me in today and then said “oh the dr can’t see you because we still don’t have your file.” So they made me reschedule again which is 2 months away. Do not go here, I will be looking for a new neurologist asap.
I was referred to Dr. Dewan by my PCP for “involuntary movements” after experiencing muscle twitching, spasms, and other neurological symptoms at the end of August, 2022. I heard nothing for a week, so I called. The office staff informed me that they never received any office notes from my PCP, but the earliest they were able to schedule me would be the middle of October. I needed an appointment much sooner, so I was informed if I get the notes over, Dr. Dewan may consider double-booking me. Great. So I call/ message my PCP to have those notes sent over; she states that she does so. I wait several more days. However, then I experience excruciating neck pain on the Sunday-Monday on the long Labor Day weekend. I am unable to move my head due to the stiffness and pain. I did not wake up that way, so I know it most likely wasn’t a case of “sleeping funny.” I had gone about my morning on Sunday, and all of a sudden, I couldn’t move my head. I stick it out til Tuesday, and call back with urgency. At this point, I’ve taken FMLA and short-term disability earlier than planned because now I cannot drive. I don’t feel safe in my role as a registered nurse. I’m explaining all of this to the office staff, who is completely lacking in empathy. She was nasty and rude. When I asked her to “knock the attitude down a notch,” she hung up the phone on me. I was livid. I would never speak to a patient the way I was being spoken to… but this seems to be the norm around here. So I call back and a very helpful woman named Brenda is able to answer. I’m explaining the new urgency, that yes I was referred for muscle twitching and spasms, but now we have a new, more pressing issue. Immediately Dr. Dewan denies me an appointment. He says I must go see a spine and pain doctor. I try to explain that I already have a pain doctor, that this is not what I was referred for but that I feel may be related, and my livelihood is being affected by the symptoms I’m experiencing. He says the same. He refuses to see me. As a nurse and a chronic pain patient, I’m very familiar with this runaround. If you so much as mention the word “pain,” you are treated as a seeker and denied treatment. All I wanted was a consult with a neurologist to try to figure out why my muscle twitching and spasms are keeping me up at night and causing me to drop things, why my fatigue and vertigo is worse, my brain fog issues, and IF …. IF this transient episode were at all related to each other. But no. All I got was an outright refusal for even a consult and told to “see a movement disorder clinic.” Well, as my understanding as an RN, the neuro consult would come first, and then the referral to the movement disorder clinic. Which was confirmed by both my pain management NP and my pulmonologist. Long story short, I hope you weren’t referred to this man for “involuntary movements,” and CERTAINLY not for any pain, because he will brush you off without a thought.
I visited the office today and was very happy with how things were done.Dr.Dewan was easy to talk to , he ask many questions and showed concern for my issues ..The office staff was wonderful ,very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.Im glad I found them and glad Dr.Dewan and this staff are in Fauquier .
I visited Dr Dewan in regards to a sleep disorder. Dr Dewan was awesome. He is very professional but down to earth at the same time. He is very knowledgeable, and was extremely helpful. Id recommend him to anyone in need of a sleep study.
For anyone being referred to this doctor or looking for a Neurologist, please don't waste your time. I made an appointment a few weeks ago with this man, my appointment is TODAY. They just called me and stated the doctor just went over my records, and unfortunately he can't treat me for my condition?? So I don't have any diagnosed condition, just symptoms that I'm trying to figure out what the cause is. I canceled my rheumatology appointment today so I could go to this appointment. Completely unacceptable that he waits until the very day of my appointment to get around to reviewing my records, then denies even seeing me. Beyond unprofessional.
The only reason I put one star is because I had no way of putting zero. This so called doctor was rude, dismissive and rough. He put profit over patient care and his lack of caring and follow up was beyond unprofessional. The Board Of Health should revoke his license. If you care for yourself or loved ones do NOT take them to this hack.
Dr DeWan is useless. He stares at his computer, obviously not reading your chart as he asks the same questions he asked last time. He advertises on his wall a medication that might help but tells me it takes too much paperwork to prescribe Really……
Saw Dr. Dewan today. He's very professional, patient and understanding. He took his time to listen, and I can tell he really cared. Highly recommend him.
He sold practice and didn’t notify patients. I went to my follow up appointment that was scheduled last year, and there is a different doctor now. Very rude and inconsiderate to not notify patients. I like to research specialists before I see them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
