List of Rana Kayal's Reviews
Dr. Kayal is wonderful. She’s patient and a great listener. She will take her time and physically check motors and other issues that you have. Great staff as well. Highly recommended.
Dr. Kayal is amazing. After four months of countless visits with specialists and doctors, Dr. Kayal is the only one who correctly diagnosed and treated my vesibular migraines. I went from being unable to do anything independently to being back to my old, healthy self. She's a great listener and very caring. Highly recommend her!
I had an appt and when I first walk in (wearing a mask) was asked of I have another under that because they ASSUMED it was a gator. Meanwhile the sign says cloth mask is fine (which os what I am wearing). Oh and none other office asked about a vaccine ever so what is it their business?? That's not the worst part, waited 20 min and asked of it would be much longer. Front staff seems super lost, they finally go ask...it would be ANOTHER 20 minutes. What's the point of setting an appointment time if it will be a 40+minute wait to even see the nurse?? Horrible
Mother-in-law had an initial visit. Soon after had to change family point of contact. Not smooth transition. Ordered MRI for her so we could make treatment plans. Nurse left one message. Called back 7 times and told they couldn’t do anything until the MRI was received. Told them I had a copy and the disk. Then was told the nurse had called that day and medication was called in to pharmacy. Nurse had called old number and no Med was available at pharmacy when we went. The only one pleasant and trying that I can see is Brenda. Do not want to go back. No confidence. I’ve been a registered nurse for 36 years.
Very thorough exam. She is doing everything she can to figure out my severe chronic migraines. Very knowledgeable.
I first went to see Dr Kayal fifteen months ago I have NEVER had a more indepth intake exam Dr. Kayal took nearly a full hour to access my situstion She did the follow up tests herself and had immediate results. I have never in 50 plus years had a more responsive physiciam W Whe
Dr Kayal misdiagnosed me with Parkinson’s. I asked If my cluster of symptoms could be anything else. She replied “no”. My family and I had to live with that for three months until I was able to get into UVA Neurology for a second opinion. There they explained each symptom I had and said NO Parkinson’s. A year later, I am symptom free.
My visit with Dr. Kayal went well, but she is now on maternity leave and did not make any arrangements for coverage by another neurologist. I desperately need a prior authorization for medication she prescribed, and I cannot get her office to respond, fill out the pa, or forward my records to my primary care physician.
In the rush of today's advanced medicine it is difficult if not impossible to find a specialist who will totally focus on the patient I have severe neurological issues and have seen doctors in New York City and Washington. Dr. Kayal is equal if not superior to any neurological specialist I have seen She spent close to an hour with me on my first visit and on follow up visits explains everything, never talking down but making sure the patient has a full understanding of the issues I have referred several people to her and they all feel the same as I did An excellent highly skilled neurologist with compassion and easy to talk to.
Dr. Kayal was the fourth doctor I saw in the course of trying to figure out why I was having intermittent episodes of severe, incapacitating dizziness over a two-year period. I saw her twice. She was very thorough, patient, careful, and answered LOTS of my questions clearly and to my satisfaction. I would see her again, and would recommend her.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
