List of Joshua P Oppenheim's Reviews
I called this office when I had an issue with my ear that I am really concerned with. The woman who took my call asked for my insurance before even asking my name or why I was calling. I thanked the woman for her time and made an appointment at a second office who by the way, asked me my name first, my symptoms, and only after checking availability, then sent me a portal where I put my insurance information in. My advice as someone you have lost the business of is to maybe treat potential patients who call like people with problems and not a paycheck when they first call. We get it. There are a lot of complexities with medical billing and you have to establish a patient profile and you want to make sure that my insurance will cover my visit but as I saw with another office, there is a different order to ask questions so that people feel valued. This is a business practice that this office needs to implement and change. Maybe I was going to self-pay even. At least ask. To finish it all up, The woman who took my call hung up before I even said good-bye.
I've been seeing doctor Oppenheim on and off for the last 25 years. My recent visit brought me in because I was having trouble getting a new C-Pap machine from different providers. Working with him and his staff they were able to put me in touch with the right people in an expedited way. Their professionalism is the best. I was so lost until they put me on the right track.
The Zoom call began on time, and the doctor provided a clear understanding of the results of the sleep test I'd completed. He ably provided suggestions for addressing my low-level case of apnea, and listened well to the questions I had for him.
Knowledgeable, thorough, calm demeanor .
All good. They were on schedule, a very unusual aspect of their management, given the fact that the norm for this area is an office that is always behind schedule. No BS, no prospecting to expand the scope ( and therefore more future Appointments), and straight forward advice -- that excludes hard sell tactics.
Dr. Oppenheim has been taking care of my family and me for 30 years. He is knowledgeable, patient, and a good communicator. He very clearly explains all surgical and non-surgical procedures and results. We have faith in his abilities and he has never steered us wrong. Please, don't ever retire.
Wonderful, kind doctor. He helped my son with his cough that nobody else could fix.y don was coughing for 3 months and unable to sleep. Dr. Oppenheim knew exactly what to do
I'm sure the doctor is great, BUT there's someone in the customer service department that is the worst and needs anger management. When I called, I told the woman about the patient's symptoms BEFORE asking for the next availability. However, when she came back with a date, she asked for the symptoms again. I told her the symptoms again and what I think the patient is experiencing; then, the woman suddenly tells me that day is unavailable because the patient needs additional testing done. So I asked her what will the doctor do if I proceed with the original date. The woman said the patient can't schedule with the original date because the patient "needs" additional testing (She said she just KNOWS). Okay... so I ask her if the patient can schedule with this date so the patient can just TALK to the doctor first. Then she goes, "NO" (I have never in my life heard about how the patient can't even TALK to the doctor). Then I asked for the next availability with the testing and she comes back with a new date. This didn't work out so I said, Okay I understand. But for reference and my understanding, is the original date with the doctor or someone else (because I thought that the reason why additional testing can't be done is because a nurse will see the patient instead). Then the woman said, and I quote, "No the appointment is with the doctor but if you want to come that day, I'm writing a note that YOU REFUSED THE TESTING." Wow......................................Never in my life heard about a service rep saying the patient can't talk to a doctor and also how she will write a false statement for the doctor before the appointment. This woman needs a reality check that she is NOT the doctor and CANNOT make diagnosis over the phone. It's unfortunate because customer service is the face of the practice and this woman is completely ruining it.
Excellent highly professional ENT specialized doctor. Nice person . Treats all patients the same level in a respectful way . I already recommended him to treat my wife and she recommended him to all her friends. One of them our neighbor will soon contact his office.
There’s little that replaces experience. Experience leads to competence. When competence is combined with caring and the ability to clearly communicate, you have a provider with exceptional capabilities and impact. My family has known Dr Oppenheim as a remarkable health care provider for decades. His knowledge and guidance have helped us navigate several health care challenges where fear and uncertainty were present. He is able to listen, recommend appropriate tests, compassionately discuss sensitive issues and bring clarity, while helping develop well thought out action plans. My wife and I highly recommended Dr Oppenheim and his staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
