We love this eye doctor! Awesome staff! The general manager is hilarious and connects with the teenagers on their level, very helpful and kind. Liz was fun and helped ease Brooklyns fear of the air puffer machine and the actual eye doctor (I can’t remember his name unfortunately) but was awesome too! My daughter won’t go to another eye care place, ever! If anyone has ever had a bad experience here, I’d venture to say it’s probably their own fault because this staff goes above and beyond! Well done and thank you sooooo much!

I think it is very important that anyone who posts a review should follow it up with any results from the issue. I am doing this here. A new appointment was made. The glasses were checked and determined to be made per the prescription. My eyes were re-examined and it was found that the left eye needed to be changed. The percription for the close range was also changed to focus in the range that I originally requested. This time, the staff was exceedingly attentive and responsive, maybe even more that needed but it was greatly appreciated. The new lenses were ordered and expedited. They came in and were exactly as they should be. This was all done at no additional cost. One additional note. When the lenses came in, there was difficulty getting them into my old frames. I could sense a bit of apprehension there but I get it. This was not caused by anything they had any control over. I came back the next day and all was well. It was a but of a journey but I now have the glasses I needed and am satisfied. I appreciated their additional attention to make things right and have changed my review accordingly. For the record, there is the original post.... I HIGHLY encourage anyone considering using this branch of MyEyeDr that they go elsewhere. I went in with a very simple but very specific set of needs. Simple. An new eye exam, a new set of bifocal lenses to fit my old frames, and a sunglasses with the same perscription. The prices were outrageous, even with my insurance but I paid the price to avoid the inconvenience of taking my business elsewhere. I should have gone with my instincts and dealt with that minor inconvenience compared to what I am going through. After a few weeks the new lenses and glasses came in. Immediately I knew they were wrong and said so. The near vision correction was wrong. I asked that we get things corrected starting then. I was patronized and asked to wait a week because new perscriptions "take getting used to." Maybe so but this was not a getting used to kind of issue. During this test run period, I found that the far focus correction is wrong too. So much it makes night driving almost impossible. Turned out I had to wait longer than a week because they were already booked up and so I had to wait even longer for this second appointment. Four days in advance of that second appointment, a business emergency since came up. I called and I asked to come in a little sooner or later that day. I was told that there were no appointments available for yet ANOTHER week. Funny. I got that first appointment on the next Monday when I just a few days prior. Easy to get service when they want your business but not so easy when there are problems. This is being run like a factory that is set up to do your exam, get you into the glasses sections phase, charge high prices, and move you along.

Best place for eye care and glasses

This was my first visit to the Williamsburg MyEyeDr location and the entire staff was so very helpful. Pam was terrific in helping check me out with my new glasses.

I was greeted the moment I entered the showroom. Liz efficiently and kindly facilitated my tests. It was the first time meeting Dr. Hannah Bowser. She was very thorough and especially patient and gentle when taking my pressures. Pam helped me pick out the perfect frames by providing candid feedback. A great experience from start to finish! So much so, I scheduled an appointment for my husband for next month.
