Joshua Prickett's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr. Prickett many times over the past 18 months since a horseback riding accident left me with 8 fractured vertebrae. I chose not to have surgery, but to wear a brace, endure the pain, and let my body heal. The first doctor I saw immediately left my hospital room when I said I didn’t want to risk surgery. I was referred to Dr. Prickett. Dr. Prickett was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and encouraging. With his guidance, I knew what I should/could do, and what to expect. I am now back to most of my activities and have very little pain. Dr. Prickett was an important part of my journey, and I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Prickett was very quick and seemed to be in a rush. My mother has had ongoing back and nerve issues for a year and came here for a new opinion. The PA and the Dr who came in the first time were thorough and very patient. When Dr Prickett came in he seemed very annoyed to be asked any questions. My mother asked a question about one of her discs and if it was pressing on a nerve she had previously been told it has while he was using a model to try and demonstrate. He rolled his eyes and set down his model as if he were annoyed and never picked it back up to explain further. Instead he rushed through explaining the MRI on the screen and didn’t offer any further explanation. We felt uncomfortable to ask any more questions as she was not being listened to and seemed to be bothering the doctor by asking.

Absolutely amazing experience. After 5 weeks of crippling pain and on the 3rd trip to the ER, the hospital finally decided to perform surgery. I had microdisectomy surgery done 2 days ago and I feel like a new person. I have absolutely zero pain and have not needed any of the medication I was sent home with yet. Dr Prickett was very professional and did an amazing job. I highly recommend him.

Excellent care from Dr Pricket. He also made sure my wife received follow up care at ARMC In House Therapy Unit which was perfect. Excellent care and very easy to talk to. Could not be happier with his care.

Dr. Prickett is an exceptional doctor and surgeon. He operated on a family member of mine, we were so impressed by the time he took to thoroughly explain the procedure and discuss all of our questions in depth before and after the surgery which made us feel very confident in his skills and expertise.

Is not a researcher so if the issue isn't blatantly obvious he will not be able to resolve it. No one answers the phone at his office and his level of effort is a negative number. I have never experienced such a lack of true concern for the patient as i have with this doctor and office in general. The facilities are subpar and less than ideal.

Dr. Prickett is an amazing doctor. He is very thorough and takes time with his patients so they understand exactly what the plan of care will be. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a neurosurgeon. Aiken is lucky to have him.
