I recommend against a visit to Dr. Amoh-Tonto. Indeed, I recommend the revocation of her license to practice medicine until such time as she learns to respect patients and their rights. She is highly judgmental, seemingly holding health problems against the patient. My GP encouraged me to contact state licensing authorities when he heard about the visit with Dr. Amoh-Tonto.

My experience was quite negative due to her lack of respect for me and my care. I must agree -- she is not fit to practice medicine. She needs further training and attitude adjustment.

This woman has a pending grievance filed against her for refusing to give me the MRI I should have been given. I hope she is stripped of her right to practice medicine, as no one should be denied the care they need because they are judged to be in good health because they are young. That is ageism. I needed an MRI and you denied me that for the reason that I’m young. That’s discrimination.

Not a positive experience -- wish it were better. I immediately liked this doctor, but she quickly broke any developing trust by challenging my ability to make mt medical decisions, creating a large gap between us. After that, it was irreparable and any chance for mutual respect vanished. Huge mistake on her part, not a good strategy for any professional relationship. Will not visit again the facility that employs her. I discontinued ASAP any medications she prescribed. Sad! Lost opportunity. I felt mistreated in the extreme, advise others to avoid Novant.

I just had a conversation with Dr. Amoh-Tonto concerning a small superficial blood clot on the top of my foot. The conversation was professional, kind and very informative. She answered all my concerns and a few I hadn't thought of. I would certainly recommend her to others.
