Because I had chose her specialty without a referral from another doctor she basically didn't want to help me. Blew my mind that it was more important for her to have a referral from another doctor than it was to help me with my hormone issues. Being a female doctor I assumed she be more understanding but she wasn't. She was very cold and passive.

Dr. Ramirez was wonderful at my appt. I came to her after seeing another endocrinologist that I just wasn’t satisfied with. Dr. Ramirez took her time to explain everything she could to me about my complicated issues and is continuing to follow up with me and follow my care. I really appreciate her attentiveness and time she’s taken to try and help me. Highly recommend her!

I felt like she did not listen to me and did what she thought was best, which resulted in an Urgent care and ER visit. I am type 1 Diabetic and pregnant. She also did not write a prior authorization for my insulin until 5 days later when I explained to her I only had enough insulin to last me about the next day lunch time. I did not want to switch my insulin and she said that all insulin can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).

The service this office provides is mediocre at best, but there is a twist. This doctor advertises in diabetes special care. Beware, as she routinely diagnoses you as a pre-diabetic, notwithstandning the evidence.
