I recently had a multiple level fusion done on my neck by Dr. Lotfi. I could not recommend this practice enough. Dr. Lotfi, his P.A. Mr. Safdari, and staff were very generous with their time over multiple visits leading up to my surgery. Dr. Lotfi explained everything clearly and answered any questions I had. The surgery was not stressful at all, and I was fully informed of the post-op limitations and expectations for recovery. Dr. Lotfi and his team provide best in class care and treatment options, and they have my whole-hearted endorsement and recommendation.

My name is Kathleen Farrell and this posts publicly under my husband's account name. I am a patient of Dr. Lotfi’s and in April 2022 he performed an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) on my neck. In January, I was having severe pain running down my left arm into my hand. I thought the pain was coming from my shoulder and I made an appointment with Dr. Lotfi’s office. After having an x-ray and an examination of my neck and shoulder, Dr. Lotfi told me the excruciating pain was actually from my neck. After reviewing the x-rays with me, he gave me a diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy, cervical foraminal stenosis and cervical central stenosis of the following areas of my neck: C4-5, C5-6. C6-7 and C7-T1. After explaining the results of my diagnosis, he presented a treatment plan which consisted of taking NSAIDS, muscle relaxants, pain medication, physical therapy, cervical traction, and using a neck brace when walking. If pain continued, I was to get an MRI of my neck. In mid-February, I returned to Dr. Lotfi’s office with a copy of the MRI and acute pain in my arm (with tingling and numbness going to my hand and finger). After he reviewed the results with me, Dr. Lotfi explained that I may need to have an Anterior Cervical Decompression Fusion (ACDF) surgery. I still continued with a nonoperative treatment hoping to avoid surgery, but continued to have severe pain in my arm. Finally in mid-March, Dr. Lotfi met with me and I agreed to have the surgery. Dr. Lotfi introduced me to Sohail Safdari, his physician assistant, and explained all the risks and complications of surgery. In April, I had the surgery and now I am pain free in both my neck and arm, there is no recurring tingling or numbness in my hand. During my visits to Dr. Lotfi’s office, he gave me handouts with websites to help me understand what my condition was and what the surgery entailed. Dr. Lotfi and Physician Assistant Safdari are not only competent and professional, they go above and beyond to ensure you receive only the best care and never leave without all your questions and concerns being addressed. I am currently in my mid-60’s and underwent a laminectomy and spinal fusion due to lumbar spondylolisthesis performed by Dr. Lotfi. I had been dealing with back pain for years with residual tingling and numbness down my legs and to my feet. Being cautious, I initially tried injections by a different doctor. This did not resolve the issue. A surgical solution was inevitable and I chose Dr. Lotfi on the recommendation of his cautious nature to not operate unless he felt it absolutely necessary. I am now 6 months post-surgery without pain and am happy with my recovery to this point. After a month’s rest, I was able to take physical therapy and can walk daily without numbness or nerve pain. Dr. Lotfi’s surgical assistant, nurse and staff have all been very caring and professional with me from consultation through early recovery stage.

Totally unprofessional! Only reviews your case until you are in a cubical waiting to be seen. Seen him for no e months and he still don't know what I do for a living. And once I questioned him on that he lost his cool as a DR. STAY AWAY only concern with bottom Dollar.

I had a lumbar spinal injury in college (2002) - an old football injury that happened when I took a helmet to my back. For almost 20 years I had been dealing with pain and it got to a point where I was using pain meds as part of my "daily routine." That was until April 2021 when I first met Dr. Lotfi due to the amount of pain I was in. Turns out, the damage was significantly worse than expected and he decided to do a pretty invasive surgery (replacing discs, fixing nerve damage, spinal fusion, etc.). 8 months later and it's the first time since 2002 that I have had full feeling in my legs (I would get that pins/needles feeling daily and sometimes lose sensitivity in areas of my legs) and no pain in my back - apart from the aches of going through post-op recovery. I didn't realize until the day after my surgery that I had become dependent on pain meds. That's a mind blowing and very depressed feeling when you don't even realize your body has become so used to taking something you don't feel the effects until you essentially have to detox. Because of Dr. Lotfi's efforts with the surgery, PT, and helping with weaning me off pain meds, my life has improved tenfold. I can pick my 5year old up again without the feeling of passing out from pain. Mowing the lawn doesn't put me on the couch for hours after. I can swing a golf club again without my left foot going numb, etc. BLUF: Dr. Lotfi changed my life. I'm not an emotional person, nor do I typically leave reviews, but I owe it to Dr. Lotfi out of respect and adoration for what he's done to honestly change my life and I would recommend Dr. Lotfi and his staff WITHOUT QUESTION. Also, huge shout out to Sohail Safdari (PA-C) for being such a great guy. If Dr. Lotfi wasn't around, Sohail was there to carry the torch. Greatest "bedside manner" and patient skills I've ever had with a PA.

Had an appointment for 3 p.m. they asked me to come in early like at 10 a.m. I said I can do 11:00 a.m. just to find out at he's not even in the building. Can you imagine if I showed up at 10 a.m. how mad I would be. He finally showed up 25 minutes late. Asked for a shot in my shoulder for pain and sat with my shirt off for 15 additional minutes while his assistant kept telling me he will be right in. After 15 minutes I finally walking out. Don't even get me started on how long I waited for my surgery, over ten hours because they changed the time and nobody bothered to call me.

I came to Dr.Lofti for chronic lower back pain, neck,and shoulders from an accident. He only spent maybe 5-8 minutes with me. He didn’t examine me to see where my pain was, he said he didn’t have a diagnosis and left the room. He chatted with my case worker for 20mins while I sat in the room waiting for him to come back. I had to ask someone was he coming back , in which they said I was done. I literally had to ask them to have Dr Lofti to come back because I had questions. His bed side manner is nonexistent. He was very dismissive and wouldn’t let me talk. I’m the patient and he didn’t listen to my problem and pain. I haven’t went back. I found out that apparently my mother also had him as a orthopedic and she left him for the same reasons. He asked like he did have time for me.
