Renee Burdett's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient for many years and find this healthcare professional extremely competent.

The referral for Dr. Burdett we received was by word-of-mouth, and was told "you can either work with her or you can't" which was taken with a grain of salt. She was arrogant and dismissive, didn't like to be questioned, was unwilling to listen to concerns especially those of an urgent nature. She was clearly always too busy to spend enough time during the visit to discuss what needed to be discussed. One expects a child/adol. psychiatrist to be compassionate to the patient's experience.

Office staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr. Burdett is not personable, is condescending, and does not listen with compassion to the needs or concerns of the patient.

I saw a few other doctors before seeing Dr.Burdett for my 14 yr. Old and there's no comparison. She's amazing, and I'm so thankful I found her. She has helped my daughter so much. We have chosen to stay here in the woodbridge area so she's able to continue seeing Burdett.

In my opinion I was not happy with the administrative staff at the Woodbridge location. Argumentative is not the proper way to treat a client or their family.

Pleasant, knowledgeable provider that has a wide availability range

Four years of misdiagnosis; meds exacerbated daughter's actual bipolar disorder. Suggestions made that more was going on than anxiety, perhaps bipolar, were brushed off. Dr's obvious impatience with daughter's progress led to her being handled like a disciplinary problem and slacker student (she has a genius level IQ). Having suicidal ideations, calls to make an appt after a 6 month sabbatical, went unreturned despite desperate pleas to return my calls. Hindsight: was the best thing the dr had done for my daughter. A couple dr's later, daughter was told she had classic symptoms of bipolar, was also id'd as having ADD; received proper meds and just after a few DAYS, improvement was clear. She's now finding tremendous success in utilizing her amazing talents and for the first time is experiencing happiness and hopes for a promising future. Her confidence increases by the day as she becomes aquatinted with the person who had previously been buried underneath this extremely cruel disorder.

Dr. Burdette is direct yet compassionate, provides details, gives a realistic outlook, and has so much experience. Our daughter has stumped a lot of doctors, but we have gotten farther in Dr. Burdette's excellent care than with anyone else. We love her and highly recommend her. Her staff is truly caring and kind, and you get that from the moment you check in.

Dr. Burdett is a very caring, insightful, and supportive Christian women. She is a good listener and has your best interest at heart. I feel so lucky to have found her and have been using her as my psychiatrist for two years. She's the best!

If you are looking for a highly intelligent and competent doctor, who does not need therapy herself, this is who you want to see. She is logical, pragmatic, concise, and to the point. There is a long wait for new patients, but she is well worth it.
