She didnt seem interested in my health complaints. She was totally dismissive of me when my labs were even in low normal range. I felt ignored and she comes across very arrogant!
Very bad treatment by the staff, long wait and then very little time with the doctor. She should not get any new patients. Even if she is a good doctor, how can she be practicing proper medicine giving you such little time? Impossible. And her staff is rude. The only person great there is the PA Wendy.
She does not have time for patients so therefore SHE IS NOT A GOOD DOCTOR. Her knowledge does not matter is she does not put it into practice. On top of that her office is a MESS Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that you felt your experience with our Care Center was disappointing. We really value your input and we take your comments seriously so we can continue to improve our practice. Please contact our Performance Support Manager at 8887748428, if you would like to discuss your concerns further. ~Privia Medical Group on behalf of The Endocrinology Group, PLLC
Biggest concern is the minimal amount of services and concern shown by the practice. When I was scheduled for an appointment, I was told none was needed because blood panel results that I shared with practice (blood work was in response to another doctors request)did not warrant it. No mention was made that without my seeing someone in the office, the practice would deny any request for renewal of critical medications. I learned of the denial from my pharmacy; no call was made by the practice.
efficient office. my primary care doctor arranged the visit for me as it was an urgent endocrine concern (thyroid cancer). in good hands.
Please dont even consider this doctor, when she started her practice she tried to be nice with me later on as she gained popularity and her practice expanded she became very unprofessional. I have a thyroid condition that caused me also an anxiety issue, so I was prescribed Zoloft by my therapist, and for some reason my thyroid kept fluctuating and didnt feel good and She didnt believe me and told me to call my psychiatrist and later the results showed that my thyroid was off.
referred to her by my primary care doctor. helping me get my sugars under better control, things I never knew I should do.
caring, took time to answer all my questions about my newly diagnosed thyroid cancer. busy office but feel like Im well taken care of.
This practice has absolutely no regard for the patient experience. The receptionist just told me that I am on some kind of patient black list and that she was unable to schedule with me. Apparently 4 years ago I no showed to an appointment, and therefore notes were posted on my account with a do not schedule on my record. After I asked to speak to the office manager about this (trying to explain that I was referred to this practice by my OB/GYN, I am having a problem with my thyroid, I was unaware of this penalty from YEARS ago back when I was trying to get pregnant and likely very stressed at the time), the receptionist came back onto the line telling me that she had just talked to the office manager, and if I agree to pay $50 she could schedule. No, thank you. I will take my medical problems to a doctors office that cares. Such a horrifying experience as a consumer who needed help.

informative and helped me diagnose and treat my PCOS. provided me referrals to other resources for additional help.
good experience referred by my obgyn to see her for thyroid problem diagnosed in pregnancy.explained the testing, monitoring needed and plan for medication adjustment.staff is very good, office is very busy with 4 endocrinologists.
I was initially referred to her by my primary doctor but because I couldnt see her for 3 months went to a different endocrinologist who could see me first. Was not pleased with them so went back to dr. huang who I really should have seen in the first place. She knew how to diagnose and treat my hypothyroidism gave me clear plan on what to expect and how treatment would proceed. Also gave me good resources for dealing with my weight problem, have realized diet and exercise really do work but she was the one that finally got me to recognize that seeing a therapist has helped with my stress eating.
Wow. I wish I had read this comments before I went to Dr. Huang. I had the same experience as so many others. She was condescending and made me feel horrible about myself. I had symptoms which included weight gain and she suggested I see a nutritionist instead of hearing that my weight gain was unusual for my body and that something wasnt right. Ive been dreading making a follow up appointment and now I know it is time to find a new doctor.
Dr Huang initially seemed kind, and I was impressed she had thoroughly read my chart and remembered what shed read (sadly unusual for drs these days).HOWEVER, as I got to know her over the 2 appts I had, I became extremely disappointed. She made negative comments about my dermatologist (You should see someone else!), dexcom rep, and dietician about silly things like only sending her the initial report but not the followup one.I had unexplained weight gain and begged her for help, saying I just knew something wasnt right. She dismissed me as eating too much and told me to join weight watchers. I was so insulted. I went online and found that a rx I was on (that she knew about) causes weight gain. I shouldnt have to selfdiagnose by google. Finally, she treated me like a child, saying If you cant prove to me your blood sugars are under control, Ill have to make you come see me more often. I thought its GOOD to see a dr if you need more help?? But, she used it as a threat. Not motivating at all...
I got in to see Dr. Huang as a new patient within two weeks. I found her to be friendly, attentive, and caring. I am older and have seen other doctors in different states and she seems to be a VERY capable and skilled physician.
I came into this Dr. Huang with the following: Family history of diabetes heavy, painful periods Rapid weight gain (30 lbs in the last year) Hair loss Fatigue/feeling extremely jittery when I dont eat Feeling sleepy after I eatShe tested my blood sugar and it was 160. She did other tests and said everything was normal, writing off the high blood sugar. She didnt seem to care about my symptoms: her response to me was that I just had bad genetics and that I need to eat less carbs. After going to another doctor, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Dr. Huang is terrible, and a waste of money.
Arrogant, patronizing, no bedside manner. Possibly a capable doctor, but no amount of qualifications give anyone the right to treat their patients like she does (and charge for it). Dr. Huang would be better served continuing her career in a lab. If youre looking for an endocrinologist, find someone else. The DC/VA area has FAR better Im sure.
Want an arrogant, patronizing and bullying doctor as your endocrinologist? Then go see Dr. Huang. Washington top doctor? Please. If pressuring people to come in and make an appointment ASAP because of overly exaggerated interpretation of your blood work for more money is your idea of a top doctor, then Dr. Huang is your physician. No patientdoctor rapport skills and honestly, I wonder if Dr. Huang really understands diabetes management outside of some set of strict and unrealistic rules she read out of a medical book. Diabetes is more than a math problem. Oh, and if youre “lucky” maybe shell pawn you off on her equally arrogant yet less educated and naive PA Wendy Phillips. On a positive note, the staff at the Endocrinology Group are VERY nice and professional. It is a pity they work for such inept medical professionals. Avoid at all costs.
i understand why I had to wait so long to see her, she was worth the wait!
