List of Gerald C. Mingin's Reviews
Not happy with my sons Diagnosis of testicular torsion. The surgery suggested fixed nothing. All that pain and expense to be right back where we started .
Dr. Mingin is excellent at what he does! He and his staff were outstanding! I gave him 5 stars for his bedside manner, though clearly he is not a people person, however he is a truly honest, talented and generous surgeon!
Treats parents like low life. In and out of patients room. No compassion.
I have read the other review on Dr. Mingin and I did not have bad experience with him. The wait was a little long, but that is to be expected when seeing a specialist. He spent time explaing my daughters condition and our options. My daughter was very comfortable with him.
Dr. Mingin was very thorough in his examination and explanation of the care my son required. He spent the time to go through all of the options and was very open to answering all of our questions. We did have to wait a little bit when there but we did not feel rushed once we were seen.
Dr. Mingin is a pediatric urologist whose bedside manner is atrocious. He made my 2 year old son cry before he was even up on the exam table because he was simply mean and took no time to be at all friendly. My son was afraid to go to any doctor after the experience. Dr. Mingin is also unknowledgeable because he stated that surgery was the only solution to my son's problem. Turns out a simple steroid cream, recommended by the pediatric urologist we went to for a second opinion, fixed the problem. Obviously Dr. Mingin just wants to make money doing surgeries on little kids. I wouldn't let him treat my dog.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
