When I went to the ophthalmology dept at UVM with a new eye condition another Dr called Dr Raut in for an opinion. He was sure not only about what was wrong but treated me then and there the same day. He prevented a more serious condition and gave me the confidence things would be fine…and they have been ever since. He was professional, skilled and courteous with great explanations. I won’t go to anyone else.

I had two unplanned unexpected eye surgeries from a torn and detached retina- same eye- back in February with the amazing Dr Raut from UVM. This all happened while I was down in Florida at the time and went in to meet with a Eye Dr down there, after careful consideration decision was made to fly back to Vermont and my insurance company luckily found this amazing eye surgeon. From the moment we met to a couple months later Dr Raut and his wonderful team took amazing care of my eye and I have NO issue in referring him to anyone. He saved my eyesight!! Stellar surgeon with a wonderful caring bedside manner A+++
