Dr.Jewel is a very good listener And excellent surgeon.it is hard to get hold of him but when you do he has your full attention.I have never felt better than I do now thanks to is expertise in spinal fusion. .

I was 60 years old when in November 2017 I had decompression and fusion of L4L5 with hardware because I was experiencing severe back pain worsening everyday and for years. I started to develop numbness of both legs that worsened to the point where my legs were feeling rubbery. I was afraid of falling at that point. When I met with Dr. Jewell I felt so comfortable with him( his mannerism, his knowledge and his patience in explaining the reason I needed this procedure versus laser surgery) that I was immediately on board because he explained with such clarity. He said I would no longer have numbness but could not promise being pain-free. My surgery went exceptionally well that Monday morning, so well that I was able to stand up that night and walking with a walker the next morning. Wednesday I was ambulating without the walker, I showered on my own and was discharged on Thursday. Today almost 2 years later, not only do I no longer experience numbness EVER again, but NEVER had back pain ever since. Dr. Ryan Jewell is my “god” of neurosurgery. ( please note god is lower case “g”)

Dr. jewell is a credit to his profession. Not only is he a skilled surgeon who has restored the quality of my life through successful spine surgery, he is caring, compassionate and personable. I am now pain free, active and energetic, which seems like a miracle. Every single day since my surgery five months ago, I say a silent prayer of thanks for Dr. Jewell.

I suffered with lower back pain for 9 years. Dr. Jewell was the only doctor who took the time to actually listen to me, and in so doing, found the problems in my back. Not only did he find the problems he also fixed them. When I woke up in recovery I knew my problems were fixed. Dr. Jewell has given me my life back. It has only been 7 weeks since my surgery but I feel like a new man and would recommend Dr. Jewell to anyone with back problems. He gets 10 stars in my book!!

Dr. Jewell was confident, without arrogance, in regards to how successful he could be with my spinal fusion. He took time to hear everything I had to say in regards to my symptoms, to answer my questions thoroughly, and to acknowledge my concerns.
