I had bilateral knee replacement performed by Dr Gallagher in June 2020 it has changed my life and at 63 years of age I am now capable of many exercises in the gym that I have been unable to complete for years. The whole experience was excellent and with the help of Dr Gallagher and his capable and friendly staff I enjoyed a full recovery which has included much better range of movement allowing me to train and improve strength way beyond my expectations. I would strongly recommend choosing Dr Gallagher as your preferred Orthopaedics surgeon for impending knee surgery.

I had partial knee replacements done on both knees in early 2016.The right knee was a success; however the left knee not so much - I had constant pain. I initially saw John in 2019 - he advised that I hold off replacing the left knee with a full replacement for a while longer. During mid-August 2022 he did a full knee replacement of my left knee - three months later and I have no pain and more bend (140 degrees) than I had with the partial left knee replacement. I am absolutely stoked - John, thanks for giving me my life back.

I cant recommend enough! Dr Gallagher is a very professional and skilled yet caring surgeon who not only does the job, but is dedicated to making sure its done properly to ensure a good painless future for the patient. He is thorough throughout the entire process including aftercare and even takes the time to explain things. I have complete trust in Dr Gallagher and my 17 year olds surgery has gone extremely well and has put her on track to where her knee needs to be according to her career goals where she will be full time dancing.

John has the most engaging personality of any Specialist I have dealings with, he spends time with each patient and is genuinely wanting the best for your outcome. Top Surgeon and fabulous personality.

Had my left knee with John Gallagher in January 2016. Still having major issues with it have lost count how many operations I have had nearly died from blood poisoning in January 2019. It has been a nightmare. Had my right knee down the Gold Coast at John Flynn in 2017 have had no problem what so ever. Gallagher blamed me for everything he left me with a big hole in my knee. I would not recommend him at all. His wife was also rude to me rang me and told me to take my review down or they would legal action against me. Don’t understand that is what a review is all about to say if you are happy or not. Anyway he has ruined my life can’t walk far still swells and in pain all the time. I was an active person once upon time

Unfortunately post op care after my fathers procedure has not been a great experience.

I have been using Dr John Gallagher at the QLD knee surgery clinic in Brisbane since 2016 where I had my first knee reconstruction surgery from complete acl tear on my left knee among other problems with my legs and knees. The team and Dr Gallagher himself have been absolutley exceptional with positive results and communication. I have now had 4 surgeries with this team and planning on a 5th later this year. Ps. The multiple surgeries are due to myself and not the clinic. They have not missed a beat in making sure I am getting the best treatment and making sure I am comfortable in recovery. I will always recommend this team of excellence to my peers and have had no regrets selecting them to look after my knees. My husband Peter has been under the amazing professional care of Dr John Gallagher for many years. John has always been professional and skilled coupled with an amazing support team of staff and an often wicked sense of humor. He and the team has always treated both of us as part of the team and we would not go to anyone else. Peter had a bilateral knee replacement last year and the care and outcome was amazing. Peter now walks with straight legs for the first time in his life and with the support and direction of John and the staff has had an amazing recovery as we approach the 12 month mark. John and every one of his team, Rob, Jess,Susan and Leanne are the most highly skilled and professional team we have ever been a part of. Thank you all for your support and compassion in what has been a sometimes scary and challenging journey for Peter and I.
