I have had three surgeries with the GOAT of shoulder surgery, Doc Macy. Great staff and great human being. Much respect for the Mansfield ortho team and Copley!

Copley is a great place based on my experience. Dr Macy did an excellent job repairing my shoulder; very pleased.

Dr. Macy, his associates at the Waterbury office, and the Copley Hospital staff are exceptional health care providers. Because of them, my experience with a shoulder rotator cuff repair has been a very positive one.

Dr. Macy and the staff at Mansfield Orthopedics have been excellent to work with. Great people and good communications - they really know what is needed and they work as a skilled team. The total shoulder replacement technique of Dr. Macy is amazing - so much that I had both total shoulder replacements done last year! The recovery program using Force Therapeutics has been both helpful and complete for providing a progressive program to keep me motivated every day. I am amazed at how their pain management was applied as the amount of pain after the surgery was minimal and well controlled. My range of motion has improved dramatically and early on my giggles at simple motions which I could not do previously was great! I probably pushed things a little faster on my second shoulder, but that is a compliment to the results of the surgery that I felt I could do more every day.

Doctor Macy is a super surgeon and person. He treats all his patients with kindness and keeps them well informed as to what he is doing. I have already recommended him to other people. I can't say enough good things about him and all his staff at his office and everyone involved at Copley Hospital.

I had a total reverse shoulder replacement. Unfortunately I can only click 5 stars. It was way better than that. This has been an absolute piece of cake for me. I mention my shoulder and people laugh saying I keep forgetting you had that done. It’s pretty much never hurt. I’ve probably used it more than I should because it was amazing almost immediately after surgery. The two physical therapists I worked with called me a miracle and would make comments shaking their heads because of the amount of painless movement I had. I did my stretches in the beginning but dropped off after I began rehab. Not that that was a good idea. Point being it was Dr. Macys work that made it go so well. Not me. I’d had two prior rotator cuff surgeries on the same shoulder that didn’t go well from two other surgeons. It definitely matters who does the work. There’s no chance I’d have anyone else do it if I ever need the other one done. No matter how far I had to come to have him do it. My rehab was done in Florida and there were several people there that were in lots of pain from the same surgery with poor movement. I can’t thank him enough.

Dr. Macy repaired my right shoulder after a rotator cuff tear in 2010 and I experienced a 100% recovery. When I needed repair of a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder in 2022 I was so thankful that I was able to have Dr. Macy perform this surgery as well. I am well into my recovery and can't say enough about Dr. Macy's excellence.

Dr. Macy very professional and what a team. Would recommend to anyone i know would need shoulder surgery.
