Dr Winget reached out to me immediately after receiving my ambulatory ECG report, intercepted me at another Dr appointment in the building and got me admitted through ER for surgery quickly. Personable, compassionate competent, he explained my situation and the need to act, calmly and reassuringly. He and the team listened to my questions, I was able to make the necessary decision with minimal anxiety. I am on the mend now and oh so grateful for Dr Winget and the amazing Cardiology Team at UVM. If I could give 10 stars it wouldn't be enough.

Dr Winget is very personable, thorough, professional, and an excellent listener. I trust him and value his expertise. He put me at ease the moment I met him. He explains things in a patient and clear way. I know I am getting the best care as his patient. If there was the option to give him more than 5 stars, I would! Thank you, Dr Winget.

I was a patient of Dr Winget for 10 + years... every visit was told go home and lose weight. ... never recommend any test ... your doing ok !!! Never changed meds ... but I was not doing ok .. today I have many blocked Arteries.. that my new Cardiologist says Should have been fixed before they reached 80 - 90% blocked and will require open heart surgery to fix !!!! I recommend that Dr Winget retire ASAP ... he is bored with his job !!!! I do NOT recommend him ... I recommend Dr. Hillemann ... His NPN & office are also a big problem !!!!! No call back ??? Very rude at times .... must call back several times to get help !!!! Just bad .period ....

Aside from being a highly trained, skilled cardiologist and electrophysiologist, Dr. Winget listens, synthesizes and takes the time to explain.

I have been doctoring w/Dr. Winget for about 5 years, for supraventricular tachycardia. I find him very thorough, personable and open-minded. Dr. Winget reassured me when I was possibly over concerned with an occasional rapid heartbeat. Any time that I saw him, he never tried to tell me what I should do. He gave me my options and I made the choice. This is so important to me. Furthermore, he recommended a book which helped me to change my diet and lower my cholesterol to normal levels. I appreciate knowing that I'm not dealing with a pill pusher or surgery pusher, but knowing that should that time come, this doctor would advise me in my best interest of good health.

Dr Winget has been my Cardiologist for many years and, actually, is the reason that I am still living. My lady has now also become one of his patients and we both love him dearly. He has been most kind and understanding and, the only Doctor I have ever known to come to my hospital bedside, at 2 A.M., just to chat and share a chuckle. dr. Winget Treated me for a heart issue which required a pacemaker. While his surgical abilities seem to adequate. His personality and bedside manner left a huge amount to be desired. He Displayed rudeness, lack of caring, and judgment at a time when I was most vulnerable. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I have seen Dr. Winget for heart issues. I was not treated well, and was very disappointed in his bedside manner, which was lacking in compassion. I heard such great things about him, but I was very very disappointed. We only have one office in the Burlington area that deals with my type of heart issue, so it can be challenging to find excellent care. He embarrassed me in front of my hospital roommate, speaking of my condition so that everyone in the double room could hear what he was saying, and that was totally unconscionable. I felt that he violated my trust and my privacy.

Dr Winget,was the first doctor to fully and understandily explain my husbands multiple integrated health issues.which then gave me the information to better help him have better care. He is personal ,reachable,and so informative. Changed our experience at the UVM medical center. Thank you for being there and reaching out to me, Janet Seaburg

I have known Dr. Winget for many years, most recently as a patient. I could not have chosen a better cardiologist. He listens, which is rare with some physicians. His experience, knowledge, compassion and truly caring about his patients is unequivocal. I would see no other.
