Dr skor was Not helpful at all wasted my life and time and saw a different person and they solved my problem instantly first visit . Really awful that not all doctors are created equally and that even if u hate a certain doctor you need a referral system that slows everything down so it’s a systemic problem but I would not recommend this place. Their solution was for me to go on a no carb diet (like thats easy convenient or even possible ) and it was a triage nurse who concluded this for me so I could neither be angry or tell the doctor how this makes no sense
I met with Dr. Klett, which was my first time meeting an endocrinologist. He was very thorough, and asked me questions as well as listening to my concerns.
My partner is Type I diabetic and seen at this office, and wasn't able to see an endocrinologist for the past year and a half because, you know, Covid. His endocrinologist continued to write his prescription for insulin during that time. They recently stopped writing his prescriptions, so he attempted to make an appointment, and the office says because he hasn't been seen in so long that he now needs a referral from either PCP or Urgent Care. Here's the funny thing: I, personally, haven't been able to establish primary care in the 3 years I've been here because there is a massive Primary Care shortage in rural areas, which, spoiler alert, is Vermont! And our Urgent Care/Emergency Depts are bursting at the seams with people who are ACTUALLY SICK! This pandemic didn't magically cure my partner of his Type I! Turns out, he's never going to NOT need insulin! Now he just waits to what, go into DKA so he can be re-referred to your office for his chronic condition that he has suffered from since he was 8 years old?! Shame on you, UVM Endocrinology, for placing additional burden on an already overwhelmed Emergency healthcare system.
I just had to get a bone density scan done
I saw a particular endocrinologist there for years. I cannot adequately explain how intelligent, kind, and up-to-date on scientific knowledge she was. I'm stunned at many of these reviews. It often takes a wait to see a specialist, unless you are hospitalized, and your condition requires the care of an endocrinologist. If so, make sure an endocrinologist at least reviews your care, as you will be put on some out-dated insulin protocol that could even endanger your health. I really don't care what the front office does, you will get an appointment if you internal medicine physician or primary care practitioner completes your referral via your insurance company. That's all it takes. I have waited many times for a while, and that is no one's fault. These sort of physicians are specialists, specialists have more training, additional board certification, and treat patients with more complicated disorders. If your disorder is not severe, the ancillary staff will call you back after you leave a voicemail, then present your problem to the physician and get back to you. You can also get an appointment with one of the ancillary staff, who will listen to you, look at your chart, examine you, and relay all this information to the physician. The physician will relay the information needed back to you through the ancillary staff, and if something isn't clear, the physician will either send the staff back with more questions, or to do more physical exams. The physician may come back, and examine you, ask more questions, showing the staff what is going on. Getting this sort of appointment is much quicker. You can also see a fellow, a highly trained physician who is board-certified in internal medicine, and studying endocrinology for a number of years in order to complete requirements and pass the endocrinology boards. If you don't understand such things and do not care to read up on them, ask any of your physicians to explain them to you, since they are often confusing if you do not work in a health care field. However, this is a very good practice, with good physicians and fellows, and i would recommend this practice to anyone.
Going here was one of the biggest regrets of my life. I came here for cancer treatment. What I got was email only access to my doctor who didn't take my concerns seriously, nurses who blamed me for the poor care I received, and a massive dose of radiation that was the incorrect protocol. Unsuprisingly, the cancer grew back. I went for treatment elsewhere on the second go-around suggested a medication only option that used the medication I was already on. This protocol was not presented as an option at uvm, despite being prescribed the same medication by uvm endocrinology. It turns out, I could have avoided the massive dose of radiation, and it's associated side effects, if uvm endocrinology had taken the time to stabilize the medication.
No calls or info given after the 10min apt, and they are to dumb to submit the bill properly, because they refuse to drop his middle initial (how his insurance has it) so now my credit is being ruined over a exam that should be completely covered by his insurance..huge hassle, complete bs would never recommend going there!
Met with a younger Endocrinologist who was not thorough and pretty much brushed off my thyroid issues and told me to see a nutritionist. Seemed not interested in my health woes, or even look at my list I brought of symptoms and family history. Really had high hopes I would get some help. She said she'd call me back as she didn't have my ultrasound results and sent me on my way. Really felt like I was bothering her day, and look and behold, I get home and get a call that my ultrasound had suspicious nodules and O need a biopsy. Had one done but, will not follow up with them. Finding a new doctor who doesn't brush off a patient who may have serious issues. Advice: Advocate for yourself and research your doctors before you go.
Front desk takes messages but doesn't deliver the information. Had to call multiple times to get prescriptions and it doesn't get done. They are way too busy. Very frustrating.
They use 60 year old hormone replacement protocols pushed by Society Of Endocrinology. Vermont needs a new clinic for hormone replacement which is modern and uses more updated protocols. Using GMO cotton seed in the oil preparations is bad for the overall health so I and many have to order products from other countries which use peach oil and non GMO derived. The whole pharma system in US is about profit which trickles down to poor choices for patients.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
