Patronizing, dismissive, not helpful. Brought autistic POC family member for severe spine issues. Definitely doesn’t go out of his way to make anyone comfortable. Had an assistant give us a paper referral for pool therapy & acted like we were wasting his time despite two previous doctors prescribing surgery.

After six months of my 13 year old son wearing a Boston brace, this man told us that his curve was not being helped by the brace and needed to be scheduled for surgery. Needless to say, we left the office in tears. I researched other brace types and therapies until I found a physician at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York. My son was immediately fitted for a Rigo Cheneau brace and began Schroth physical therapy. He is now 16, 6ft tall and brace free as of today. Please get a second opinion if this is your doctor.

No words are enough. This man listened. He cared. When others said impossible, he said; we can. He righted my world. I haven't seen him in over a decade... I don't need to. Because he is capable, I'm whole again, and I've stayed whole.

First visit totally confirmed that I had picked the correct surgeon. He made me feel comfortable ,secure and gave me total confidence.

Dr. Monsey has performed 19 hrs. of surgery on my spine. Not only has his skill and excellent bedside manner allowed me to live an active life, but I have been able to avoid a wheelchair existence or worse.

First experience was negative, was very late with no apology or explanation, did not like my questions, came off as rude arrogant rushed and uncaring. Lousy bedside manner. Deffinitly will seek 2nd opnion. Not an asset to the organization.
