Dr. Slidem is fabulous. The previous counselor was fabulous also but left upon arrival. The staff is great. The billing is wrong. They charged me copays I never had as well as a $150 payment. I didn't owe. The the understanding of insurance billing practices is way off base here. My insurance said I only paid for the first appointment and all subsequent appointments are covered 100%. So in actuality the office owes me all my copays and that $150 back. I will get around to getting it eventually. Over all worth coming to. I was only receiving psychiatric and counselor services and not required to any sort of treatment. I wasn't under standing they were a "treatment provider" .

I'm very pleased with the services I received from A Walk to Freedom Counseling. Upon trying to get scheduled with Lynn Dalsing, she responded to my inquiry within a few hours. Verifying my insurance and scheduling me an appointment within a week. I worked with Dr. John Slightham, he was incredibly professional and easy to speak to. I had to complete an assessment which requires sharing many details from your life and I felt it was easy to do as he help guide me. In only one visit, he gave me insight on several important things to me. He's known in the mental health community, because I have colleagues who knew him by name and said he's highly regarded, I agree. Thank you Dr. John Slightham and to the team. Even the front desk receptionist (who I did not get her name) was inviting, welcoming and funny. I highly recommend this clinic.
