Athenix Body Sculpting Institute's Online Review Report Card

My experience with Athenix (at the Seattle/Bellevue location) was nothing short of FIRST-RATE in every conceivable way imaginable. My first points of contact, Leslie (the Practice Manager) and Toccara (Assistant Manager), were warm, welcoming, and truly eager to help zero in on what my particular body concerns were, listen to my goal/s, and - with the help of my incredible surgeon, Dr. Gavin Dry, achieve them.

After losing 125lbs on my own, in October 2022 I had a 360 body lift with muscle repair with Athenix as a recipient of their #AthenixGivesBack campaign.My surgeon, Dr. Dry, removed just over 9lbs total from my body (front abdomen, sides, and back) and repaired my abdominal muscles that were 6cm separated. I'm currently 8 weeks post op, and I'm blown away by my results. My front abdomen is so flat and my belly button is healing well. Going into the conversation with Athenix I thought a tummy tuck was all that I'd need. Athenix recommended the 360 body lift, and I'm so glad they did! In the end half of my loose skin that was removed came from my back--pulling up the skin on my outer thighs and on my butt too. I'm so incredibly happy with my results, and I'm so thankful for the Athenix team. My patient care coordinator, the nurses, anesthesiologist, my surgeon--everyone has been phenomenal to work with.

I had a Gastric Balloon done in September and removed it in April. I paid over $8000 and was guaranteed to lose anywhere from 25-50 plus pounds. That was not the case here. I was supposed to have a nutritionist for the first 6 months, which was very inconsistent with changing nutritionists each time. They also wrote me the wrong medication. I was highly disappointed in the procedure and lack of support by this business, I spent a large amount of money and had no results. This is very disappointing, as I am a single mother and don't have $8000 laying around to spend on anything especially to have no results. I reached out several times to discuss my disappointment and unsatisfied experience with the "practice manager" Leslie Taylor, to see what they can do to compensate me in some way, and all they want to offer me is that they will do the procedure again. I absolutely will not get that procedure again as I am disappointed! I have reached out via email and phone many times since May and still have no resolution or reply email. I feel that I have been put on the back burner with this situation and that is not acceptable, I am not asking to be fully refunded as I did undergo a procedure however, I am asking for 50% back as this has been a complete nightmare. I missed weeks of work unpaid and was vomiting for almost a month. It states on the Athenix website that Leslie is responsible for ensuring an exceptional experience for every patient. It also states that she enjoys watching patients transform their outward appearance and the impact that has on their individual self-confidence. Unfortunately, this has NOT been that experience for me. This has been very depressing, not only because I had zero results, but I am also out $8000. Their website is a false advertisement as they are not trying to make sure my experience is or was exceptional. I feel this isn't a priority for them, They were very persistent prior to coming in and spending my money.

Everyone was very nice. I didn’t get the answer I wanted, fine. But I would not even have made the consult appointment had the website stated they don’t do the Avelar Tummy Tuck-even though there’s a before & after. Apparently, that would be in California, she thinks. So I’m not happy about filling out all the paperwork and find out they don’t do that procedure. Anyway, waste of time for me. imo.

This is going to be a long review. Im about a month post op and just feel so happy with the results so far. My confidence is back. My energy is boosted to get out of the house and do more things. Didn't really realize how much I held myself back just from feeling uncomfortable with body. I had an extended tummy tuck and lipo on my back. I came in last year for consultation. Set my date for aug 25th 2022. Which gave me time to do research on post care and what supplies I will need for recovery. Yes they do give you a list and they also call you and let you know everything you need to do to prepare for your big day. Everyone that I interacted with was so nice, pleasant and caring. From consultation to post. Even when I called just to ask questions to make sure I'm doing everything right. So I came in for consultation for mommy makeover . Breast lift and tummy tuck. So I was so excited. I have always had love handles even before kids. My ex tried to kill me and ended up leaving me with a lot of scars and a crooked belly button thought it was unfix able so I gave up hope. I didn't really know what to expect. So I was still nerves to meet with the Dr. I met with Dr Dry weeks before my procedure date. I let him know that due to rainy days (gotta take care of kids and home first) I was unable to do the lift. So we are only doing Tummy tuck. He let me know what procedure would be the best for my body. Ended up deciding to do the extended tummy tuck which wraps around the back and gets rid of the muffin top love handles, a scar on my side and fixes my belly button. I was so excited. Dr Dry was super nice and I just felt like I was in good hands. Day of procedure!! Came in at 7. Was taken to the back to go over post op care with Anna. I think I was so nerves I felt like I was about to faint. But she took care of me. Dr Dry came in and did all his lines on me that he needed. And than off to the room and I was out. I just can't say enough how much I appreciate Dr Dry. Very thankful for him working with me from traditional TT to extended TT He went above and beyond what i asked of him. He really exceeded my expectations. I look great I feel great. Thanks to the whole team. Im still healing so I know it will only get better .

My wife had booked a tummy tuck with Dr. Dry and has had nothing but an unprofessional experience with Athenix in Belleview, WA. First off you don’t get to meet or speak with the surgeon until you give them a 50% deposit and their “consultant” could barely answer any basic questions. After the consult and putting down a deposit they changed her quote multiple times after she had already signed it. The second time it was changed they said she needed an extended tuck instead of a full for an addition $8500. No one else thinks she needs one so I think they are trying to trick patients and upsell just to make more money. The last time it changed was when we decided to get a refund. She met with the surgeon two weeks ago and agreed on a plan. A week later she gets an email saying Dry now requires back lipo for every tummy tuck for an addition $4000. This was never discussed with my wife when she met with Dry and he didn’t even look at that area on her. My wife is 5’2 and about 125 (loosing a bit more before surgery) and doesn’t need lipo. Be very weary of Athenix trying to push more surgery on you than is needed. They also do NOT honor their own contracts even after both parties have signed. I’m sure they will get sued for it at some point if they haven’t already. I think this all happened for a reason because we were able to get her booked in LA with a much more competent plastic surgery center.

I went in for a brazillian but lift In July of 2021. The main thing I had asked for was for my hip dips to be filled in... I came out of surgery with the exact hip dips I already had. The even look worse now. i spent $14,000 when I could have just flown somewhere else and got the results I wanted. Make sure you research the doctors and what they specialize in.

I am a little over 3 months post op and LOVE my results! Dr dry and all of the staff were so welcoming, knowledgable and accommodating through the entire process! Not to mention Dr Dry delivered in every way with what I was hoping to achieve. Everything from the entire process down to the procedure was so easy and comfortable I’d do it 100x over! So so happy!!

I was not treated kindly by the person who did my consultation. She was rude and very short with me. I recommend another location.
