List of Francine Martis's Reviews
Just a minor note -- when Dr. Martis left Peacehealth, they sent me a mail with literally the wrong first name (my name is Dan, they called me "Jim") telling me how great it was getting to know me.
Dr Martis was referred to me for my elderly father for his routine check ups. I was told that she was great with seniors, but that was definitely not the case! I dont think she even looked at my dad or myself once when we went in for his first appointment and she spoke to us with her back to us. And without even knowing my father AT ALL she suggested that maybe it was time to put him into a nursing home! She then ordered TONS of tests and made at least 4 referrals at each of dads appointments and expected me to schedule and take my disabled dad to each one before his next appointment. I explained to her that i was scheduled for major surgery that month and would have a 6-8 week recovery time with a NO lifting order as well, and I asked Dr Martis if the routine referrals could be done after my recovery, as I was my dads only caregiver and wouldn't be able to lift my dad to transport him, but I assured her that if dad needed emergency care that of course, someone would bring him in. She tells me to, “Just put him on the bus” (to get to the routine referral appointments!) I explained to her that we lived way out in the county and that I was sorry, but there was no way I was putting my elderly father with memory issues on a bus by himself! Not gonna happen! She was so angry that I refused to do what she wanted that she actually called and reported me for elder abuse!! When a social worker shows up to investigate Dr Martis’ “severe abuse” allegations, of course she found no issues, she PRAISED ME for the excellent care I was giving my dad and then asked me what my dads drs name was. When I told her, she just says “that explains everything!” Apparently Martis reports caregivers/family members regularly because she gets very upset if the many referrals and tests she routinely orders, aren’t completed in the short amount of time SHE allows!! I have to wonder if she gets a commission or something for every referral she makes ?? I would never refer this “Dr” to anyone!! I gave 1 star only because my review wouldn’t post without at least one star smh
I wrote a review about Peace Health refusing to treat my 7-year-old Granddaughter because they said she may have Covid. I want to make it clear that it was Dr. Martis who refused to treat her.
I tried to make an appointment for my 7-year-old Granddaughter who has had an annoying cough that is disrupting her sleep and making it hard for her to concentrate in school. The school will not let her return until she is seen by her doctor. Doctor Martis is refusing to see her because she said she may have Covid. My Granddaughter has none of the main symptoms for Covid. She has no night sweats, no fever, no loss of taste or smell, no body aches, and no sore throat. She has a scratchy throat and she's tired from lack of sleep from coughing all night. I thought Doctors were supposed to treat sick people. If she is afraid to treat sick people, why in the world did she become a doctor. I will be shocked if they allow this to be posted.
Peace Health refuses to see and treat my 7-year-old Granddaughter and here is why....I have a 7-year-old Granddaughter who has had a cough for about 2 weeks now. We tried to make an appointment to have her seen but they refused to see her because they said she may have Covid. I did the research and discovered she has none of the main symptoms for covid. I even told them all of this. She doesn't have muscle aches, fatigue, fever, loss of taste or smell, night sweats, or a sore throat. She has a scratchy throat and a cough that is disrupting her sleep and making it difficult for her to concentrate in school from being tired. It is ridiculous they will not treat a little 7-year-old so she can return to school. I am confused on what Doctors are for anymore. Are they not supposed to treat sick people? This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard of in a long time. So be careful what you tell them when you call, or you won't be seen!!! I doubt if this will be posted. They won't want people to know they are refusing to see children who are ill!
Dr. Martis told me multiple times incorrect dosage of prescriptions which caused over doses and then proceeded to deny ever doing it. She invalidated all of my ailments and even refused to talk to me during one of my appointments. I always left her office in tears either questioning my memory or the validity of my condition.
Dr. Martis would prescribe me the wrong dosage of a prescription and then attempt to gaslight me after I had adverse reactions due to overdose. She would disregard everything I was saying and invalidate my experiences and ailments, there was even an appointment where she did not say a single word to me. Every time I left her office I would be in tears.
Dr. Martis was very friendly and considerate during my first exam with her. I liked her immediately.
I totally disagree with the above poor ratings and wonder if they are by the same person with a grudge. Dr.Martis listens well, reviews the records prior to the appointment, explains things well and cares about the concern at hand and the outcome. I've appreciated her professional and caring manner.
I recently moved from out of state and needed a new PC physician and prescriptions refilled. I will use similar words to another review above: I felt Dr. Martis was unsympathetic, and dogmatic about her views on pain management, which indicated she thought all my previous physicians were treating me incorrectly. She cannot be familiar with chronic pain and I had the uncomfortable impression that she didn’t give me any credit for knowledge of my condition, although I’ve managed it for decades, with lots of research and experience with a number of therapies. It’s “Do it my way or the highway approach,” which felt like a controlling attitude and not a collaborative one as with all my previous doctors. In the 15 minutes for an initial appointment (with little time to cover much at all), I left feeling very disconcerted and will be looking elsewhere!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
