Dr. Carlson was great with my son and I both. My seven year old son was seen by Dr. Carlson and she was knowledgeable, friendly, and did great with a 7 year old attention span.

Dr. Carlson was rude and too abrupt for my liking. She was very demanding about getting a negative test result for Covid-19 which I was instructed to take Friday before my Monday surgery. Before the surgery the nurse explained to me that the anesthetic would put me under where I wouldn't feel the procedure but would still be able to respond to voice commands and I would be oblivious to what was going on and would forget everything anyway. Nothing could be further from the truth. During my surgery, I heard the whole team discuss the protests, Dr. Carlson changing her surgery day to Friday and difficulties with another patient during a previous surgery. I verbally objected as I was laying there, "Do I really need to hear this?" Who wants to hear about someone else's surgery gone bad while being operated on? I could tell exactly what was happening the whole time and complained about the pain a couple of times and it became nearly unbearable.

I loved Dr. Carlson! She really listened to me. I had cataract surgery on both of my eyes in Dec. 2015 and saw her for strabismus. Unfortunately, I was unable to have the surgery to correct the strabismus at that time, but I will certainly go back to her when I am able to have that surgery. She is a doctor I trust, and I have had to see many doctors over the years. I also worked in the medical field for 25 years.
