We took our 2 year old son in for a consultation today. Dr. VanderGriend was quick to the exam room & was very thorough in explaining the entire process of our son’s procedure. Our son is quite shy around new people. Dr. VanderGriend was very warm & quickly earned our son’s trust. He definitely put my mind at ease as far as any concerns I had before our appointment. The office staff was kind & extremely helpful. Our appointment went smoothly & we left feeling very optimistic about the whole experience.

Dr. Vandergriend & all of his Staff are top-notch, professional, and truly care about their patients. The "pre" surgery up-front costs estimate was awesome & appreciated. This is the third procedure I have had done there, & it is consistently the same pleasant experience. Highly recommended! Well done all.

Dr. Vandergriend is knowledgeable, experienced, explains things in an easy to understand manner, has a great "bedside manner", & truly cares for the health & well being of his patients. I've had three outpatient surgeries over the last thirty years with him, all went smoothly. I highly recommend Dr. Vandergriend!

After six months of pain, I was very relieved to finally get this surgery. Dr Vandergrind came highly recommended by both former patients and my ultrasound tech. The initial consult felt efficient, but not rushed, and I left feeling like a human being not a case number. The surgery day went very smoothly, and I was so glad to be at his office instead of in the hospital. The care I received was absolutely VIP in every way. Dr. Vandergrind visited with with me before and after the procedures, as did Dr. Walters, the excellent anesthesiologist. The nurses were attentive and knowledgeable and really helped me to relax. God willing, I will be back to biking and kayaking in a couple of months, anti is so good to have hope in this regard because these are my two favorite de-stressing activities.

Keith was very welcoming to both my husband as me. He addressed all of my concerns. He described the symptoms that would indicate surgery is necessary. He explained the procedure. I felt confident in my decision when I left.

Taken back to exam room slightly before appointment time, Doctor VanderGriend came in less than 10 minutes later and answered all my questions, mostly before I had a chance to ask them, and assuaged my tension in regards to the procedure. He’s easy to talk to, thorough, professional and personable all at the same time.

We were fairly new to Whatcom county so when my husband needed GE surgery, we relied on his PCP to suggest a surgeon. We were SO impressed with Dr Vandergriend! He has a warm caring personality, takes the time to answer questions, explain procedure and post-op care, and he was just as nice to people walking by and those who work there. He's a genuinely nice man who also happens to be a skilled surgeon - recommend him 100%!

Dr. Keith Vander Griend is so amazing! I was so appreciative of his honesty when it comes to recovery for my surgery. He is thorough and professional but still a fun doctor to chat with. Super friendly and has a really good memory of his patients. My mom had him do a surgery that was fairly unique and even asked how she's been doing since her surgery when he came in pre-op to talk to me. I felt like he gathered the best team possible for my surgery and genuinely listened to my concerns... I've had so many doctors who are awkward and stiff when addressing my questions, but his demeanor says he truly cares. I highly recommend this surgeon!
