Really one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a doctor. Rude, snide, short, and dismissive. If you’re looking for any amount of bedside manner…. this isn’t the doctor for you. If she had at least been knowledgeable, perhaps that would have redeemed the situation.

Every interaction I've had with Dr Barnhart has been pleasant, informative, and sensitive During my previous pregnancy (4 years ago) I even hoped that she would be the one on call when I went in to the hospital. With my current pregnancy she's been equally as wonderful.

Something must have changed for her because reading her previous reviews from a year ago sound very different from the experience I had, not to discredit them at all. My experience with Dr. Barnhart was a very thorough, informative and pleasant one. I met Dr. Barnhart a few weeks ago when I went to an appointment with my friend who was in need of a specialist. Dr. Barnhart was kind, considerate and answered every question in detail, even showing us on a model the different areas of consent we were having. Oddly enough I was referred to her by my physician a week later for BC. I went to my appointment and my experience was just as wonderful. She even remembered me from a few weeks before (something I like to credit since doctors see so many people each day). Dr. Barnhart and I discussed my BC concerns and she again showed me an example of the one I ended up choosing. She helped me to understand the procedure, she engaged in my conversation and at one point I apologized for talking too much. She was very kind to me telling me I wasn’t talking to much at all. I’ve never had children so the experience of having an OB for those reasons surpasses my knowledge but in the case of a woman with special circumstances needing birth control, Dr. Barnhart was wonderful.

As a 17 year old female, to me being comfortable was really important. Dr. Barnhart is so open and really took the time to answer all my questions and go through many different situations and possibilities with me. Dr. Barnhart performed a surgery on me as well to remove one of my ovaries and was kind and professional the entire time. From my first appointment to the last one I’ve had, she has been nothing short of amazing. Best doctor I’ve ever had, thank you!

Degrading experience all the way around.

I left the office in tears, will never go back. She does not have any compassion toward her patients. If you have experienced infant or pregnancy loss, her recommendation is that you take antidepressants so that your grief won't inconvenience others. I'm sure she's a great surgeon and all, but she upset me so badly with her poor bedside manner. She made me feel ashamed for my loss. There are so many better doctors in town.

I wouldn't recommend her unless you want the most basic of basic prenatal care with absolutely no conversation. If you have concerns or questions, she is not the appropriate doctor for you. My first appointment with her felt rushed and cold, but I passed this off as just a busy day at the office. My next affirmed that she really doesn't care about her patients. She's very rude and extremely condescending. Her approach to answering your potential concerns involves snide remarks and fake apologies for her excessive coldness. Every other doctor I've seen at Peacehealth has been amazing, kind, open to answering questions and relieving potential concerns, and seems to genuinely take interest in their patients. I now understand why they have such high ratings and she averages at 2 to 2.5 on all sites available with reviews. She is wholy deserving of such low remarks just as the other doctors are deserving of their praise. I would not recommend her even to those I dislike. Terrible experience with her that I wouldn't wish on anyone else.

Dr Barnhart successfully completed a surgical procedure on my wife and was very nice to us when we went for appointments.
