Dr. Higashi is the best podiatrist, IMHO. When she performed my phalangiectomy, she gave me a local, and we laughed and talked throughout the operation. It was great! I just got my stitches out, and I've healed really well.

A year after Dr. Higashi performed my foot surgery, I badly broke my ankle (tibia and fibula and ligament damage). Dr. Higashi had a colleague set my ankle and then came over to Swedish Issaquah and did my surgery that day. Because of her skill as a surgeon, I am going to make a complete recovery from what may have otherwise been a life changing injury. I will be able to ski and even run again. She is a great doctor. I can never thank her enough for the amazing care i got.

My first visit with Dr. Higashi and she was great. I have three separate issues on the same foot - two chronic and one acute. She took the time to discuss all three, understood my concerns and activity level and gave me concrete guidance for all issues. And she was nice to boot (is that a pun when you’re talking Podiatry?)!

Super responsive and great at keeping me calm. Best experience I’ve had with a doctor. I wish she wasn’t as busy so I could get my boot on quicker but other that she was amazing!

Unlike other podiatrists, Dr Higashi took time to explain her recommendations and how they interact with other methods I was recommended, allowing me to combine rather than choose. She was also helpful in suggesting low-cost foot support and footwear options, as well as what they will prevent in the future. Thanks for the different attitude :)
