Swedish Medical Group's Online Review Report Card

This may be a good clinic, I had high hopes. But I don’t live within their zip code. Only if you live in their zip code are you allowed to be seen here. I was only made aware of this after two days of calling back and forth with them and my insurance company. My insurance has no problem with this, this is a Swedish policy.

My four year old started pre-k and immediately got sick. I waited for him to get over it, but he didn't seem to have the immunological strength to get fight it off. After five weeks of being sick (and me having to take all my vacation days to stay home with him), he ran a temperature of 105 F, so I took him to the Swedish ER on Friday. They gave him a chest x-ray, shrugged their shoulders, and told me to give him ibuprofen and Tylenol every three hours. I had already been doing this. I told them that and they didn't seem to care. They didn't seem bothered at all that he had already been sick for five weeks -- either that, or they thought I was lying. We basically got nothing, other than a sketchy reassurance from the doctor that "kids run fevers all the time when they're sick and a temperature of 105 F is not uncommon" which is contrary to everything else I've read.I took him home and he continued to run a fever. I tried to schedule an appointment to see Dr. Herron the following Monday, but according to their front desk, he was busy for the next two weeks. Huh? Too busy to see a sick child? I thought that was his job. After begging and pleading for thirty minutes (and spending an hour on hold), Swedish Pediatrics scheduled us to see a different doctor the following Monday. She used the old "well, it's probably viral so antibiotics wouldn't help" routine and then screened him for cancer instead of dealing with his actual illness.Five days later my kid is still running a fever, I'm out of vacation days and about ready to get fired, and there's still no solution in sight. I call Swedish Pediatrics once again and they agree to let him see a nurse practitioner.  The NP checks him out and puts him on Amoxicillin. Lo and behold, my kid's fever goes away the very next day, and by Sunday his cough and congestion disappear -- like he was never sick to begin with. Thank God for NPs. They're the only ones that seem to have any medical knowledge at Swedish.Swedish then sent me a bill for $2,200 -- and that's after my insurance's contribution.  So, it took $2,200 and almost losing my job to get an antibiotic that is regularly given to livestock in the US and can get be purchased over the counter in most countries.  All because Swedish would rather have us go through a half a dozen office visits to rack up the bill under the guise that "antibiotics are over-prescribed and our hands are tied."  It's complete and utter BS. When I was a kid, my mom would call the pediatrician on the phone and then go pick up an antibiotic at the local pharmacy. The whole ordeal cost maybe $25 at most. Swedish is a scam. My advice is to stay away from this place. They'll fleece you and leave your kid just as sick as he/she was before you came in.

A five minute cancelation policy at a pediatric center is frankly ridiculous. Especially considering that we had arrived thirty minutes earlier but ended up in the wrong building (there was no signage outside indicating where to go for pediatrics). There was also no indication of the policy when I made or confirmed the appointment.

We have had a great experience at this clinic so far!  Love Dr. Thakkar and his staff.  No problems getting appointments, and love the zoom option.  Dr. Thakkar has such a lovely, gentle way about him; he just has a way of making people feel comfortable.  So glad we found this office!

I wish we had never gone to this clinic. Dr thakkar vaccine injured both of my children. From day one from the hospital our children had signs. Vaccine injuries are real but theyre dismissed from people like him. We did some research on him later and found conflicting information due to his relationship with the aap. His role is to sell vaccines. He diagnosed my daughter with a milk allergy very early on yet gave her vaccines with milk caseins in them. Proves he doesnt know anything of what is in thm. My daughter was never so sick than when she was in his care. Asthma, allergies, ezcema, she landed in the hospital after a flu shot and her lung collapsed. After we grabbed her medical file it was obvious what was going on. Get a shot, have severe asthmatic, diarehea, severe gut damage, rashes, hives, swollen stomach, face, etc he put on allergy meds that made her have mental health issues. She was cutting herself from a very young age. My son got the worst of it with autism. He had severe reactions such as his eye drifting, failure to thrive, slower development that still has not resolved, hes 3 grades behind his peers, severe anger issues and self harm, lung issues, gut issues, swollen forehead which is a sign of brain injury.....its really sad that drs dont know whats in these shots. nor do thy get any i mean any training of vaccine injury sign. My kids files were two manilla envelope packets thick by the age of 6. Always the same. Vaccines, two weeks later severely ill. er visits, hospitalizations, meds rinse repeat. I had asked him when my son was two if he was autistic and he brushed it off. It took 10 years to get the correct diagnoses. My children now have medical exemptions. My new dr took one look at their reactions including 105 degree fever one day and was shocked he is so ill informed at his job. In my opinion, Dr thakkar doesnt care about children or he is that uninformed that hes never ever looked into what these things do! never read the studies or the vaers reports. Even the hpv shot was rushed through trails to replace the payout merck had to do with vioxx. 500k dead from that drug. Look up the companies. They all are rooted in fraud payouts. I urge parents to read the inserts...the things they dont give you. Read the studies and look up the expident charts. My children have long lasting health issues that costs us alot of money monthly to barely help. My children had severe heavy metal poisoning that we are detoxing from still. Please dont blindly trust a man who literally gave my kids items that theyre allergic to. I should have sued him!!!!!

I was worried how I would be treated during labor, it was my first time experience however I can say all the staff was reallly nice and caring.I was comfortable the whole time, especially on my admition day the nurse(julli) am not sure if I spell her name right but she is like a mother, very caring and supporting also very hard working. I really appreciate what you have done for me.

I was so surprised how unfriendly they are. I called to ask for an immunization record and the staff seemed not to understand and just kept talking. I asked him if he can hear me well and he said 'loud and clear' but kept talking without listening. Eventually he hung up on me while I am asking the other way around.Never ever had a clinic that hangs up on the patient.

We saw Gabriel Berson, Due to very poor instructions to new parents, despite multiple visits expressing concerns and feeling dismissed, my baby ended up in the e.r. and is now constantly choking on her own stomach contents. More than anything i wish i could take back ever going there.
