List of Kristina Bowen's Reviews
My first appointment with her seemed to go well but when I saw the charges for my yearly visit I was shocked. I was charged over $500 and also charged $174 for a referral! Last year at the same company my yearly checkup was only $274. I can’t figure out the jump in charges. I’ll be seeking a new doctor
Thorough, listens and makes recommendations as necessary. Follows through.
Dr Bowen listens to you, doesn’t talk over you or at you. She has a common sense approach to healthcare & is great!
My annual check-up was coded by Dr. Bowen as an office visit. That was not covered by Medicare and therefore not covered by my insurance. I tried for months to process the error with Medicare, billing and her office. They said only the doctor could correct the coding. I finally talked with Dr. Bowen. She would not acknowledge the error in coding so I am stuck with the bill. This is the first time I have ever had a problem like this. Very disappointing. Beware!
Dr Bowen is great. She is quick, thoughtful, and skilled. Her practice seems to have many elderly patients (only an observation by myself in the waiting room) so I feel any negative reviews may be biased from that perspective. Her care is supportive and I’ve had nothing but great experiences.
I felt Dr Bowen was attentive and provided detail on her treatment style upfront. I appreciate her direct communication and believe that leads to clear treatment and expectations. If you’d like a physician who wishes to improve and maintain your health, go see her.
I was excited to meet Dr. Bowen, unfortunately my first visit did not go well. I found that she didn't listen to me and kept insisting she would treat me the way she wanted without exceptions. She wanted to increase my visits. When I asked her why, she cut me off and said this wouldn't work out and refused to treat me. What she might consider a matter of fact manner just crossed into poor bed side manner and unprofessional! I was so hurt and shocked! I don't recommend her.
If you would like a doctor that bases her plan of care on research she’s read rather than what the patient is telling her; then this is the doctor for you. After 42 minutes of waiting to be seen, I finally see Dr. Bowen. Our visit was quite a fail. Her bedside manner is the worst. I get the whole aggressive towards treatment plan but she bases her descions on reasearch she has read rather than really listening to the patient. She has quite “as a matter of fact attitude”.
Dr. Bowen's lack of care and concern allowed my daughter to die of breast cancer. She does not think outside the box, relies only on protocols and "standard of care" (the minimum required) and is cold, clinical and uncaring. I would tell patients to stay away from her at all costs. She never once came to see my daughter in the hospital and when her cancer returned said she was on her own to find help.
Great doc! Great staff. I have nothing but good things to say about them all. My treatment was over in March 2012 but even now when I go for follow ups they treat me so well. I would recommend Dr Bowen anytime.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
