Daniel Major's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Major is one of the most thorough, personable and kind doctors that I have ever seen. After more than a year of severe neck pain and loss of strength in my arms, Dr. Major made the diagnosis that others had missed. A few years later, my husband was referred to Dr. Major for memory issues following septic shock. He did the appropriate testing and referred my husband to another specialist and he has improved significantly over time. I would highly recommend him to patients and clinicians alike.

Mr. Major while I’m sure completed the course work and residency to become an actual doctor does not have the practice or experience to competently treat patients on his own. I found him to be combative and rude and it was very confusing to me as to why he was so high strung. Not only does he not know the basic diagnostic criteria for common brain disorders, he doesn’t take the time to look it up. Additionally, he misdiagnosed me with hyperthyroidism and tried to pass me off to an endocrinologist that quickly dismissed the diagnosis. In the end I had to go to Seattle to an “actual” clinic to get an actual diagnosis because he missed multiple issues in my MRI including a tumor on my pituitary gland. What’s more disturbing is that when I tried to get a second opinion he actively blocked my referral making me have to start over from scratch with my primary care doctor and everything. He set me back almost a year all over his own ego. While his clinic manager is very apologetic for his behavior, his board protects him. You can protect yourself and choose a different neurologist.

I had a very good experience seeing Dr Major. He seemed to take me seriously, unlike a previous doctor I saw. He was professional and knowledgeable. He referred me for an MRI which hopefully will explain my weird symptoms. I am very glad he is my neurologist.

Dr Major is thorough in planning my medical care plan, does not rush through appointments and honors my decisions. I am completely confident he stays informed all in aspects in his field of study.

Dr. Major has treated my son for complex epilepsy and, although his condition is intractable, Dr. always has creative and hopeful treatment to try to help - and it does. Highest recommendation!!

My sister was suffering from at least 5 to 9 seizures a day, some were so bad we thought we were going to lose her. Dr. Major helped us and guided us to wean her off the bad medication another DR. kept increasing with bad results. Not only did she suffer seizures, she would hallucinate, and have episodes of rage, and would pick at her skin until raw. Today my sister rarely gets seizures thanks to the medication change Dr Major recommended, now she has 1 or 2 seizures every couple of months at the most , no more hallucinations, no more rages, no more picking at her skin raw. Dr. Major is the best thing that ever happened to us as a family !!!!

I cannot think of a worse doctor's visit. Not only was it a waste of my money and time, but I left feeling ashamed for being referred to him. He went on about a problem with in my chart for the first 15 minutes of my consult (after already running behind,) and after telling him I had larger concerns than just that one item he was honing in on, he had no interest in hearing what my concerns were. I felt like an inconvenience, not a patient seeking a professional's opinion and help. Unless you enjoy spending your money on an unprofessional doctor, I would not recommend this provider.

In 2010 after I was released from the hospital after septic shock; multiple organ failure; drug induced coma; ventilator & ICU delerium, I saw Dr Major. He basically told me I was fine & that my medications were causing my memory, speech & other issues. It was actually a hypoxic brain injury and issues acquired from respiratory failure due to sepsis. He knew zero about post septic or post ICU syndromes. Hopefully he's learned since then. Not a pleasant experience & I felt he was very dismissive.

Taken care of me for almost 10 years and found the best med combo that I could handle and help my seizures. Thank you
