After my first appointment with Dr. Van Nielen I turned to my wife and said “I feel like I struck gold!” He is a gifted doc who explains everything thoroughly in laymen’s terms. He seems to take a conservative in his treatment approach and doesn’t rush to surgical options - making sure all other avenues have been pursued. He is warm and compassionate in his care.

I have had a great overall experience with Dr. Van Nielen. I am a little over a month past my hip replacement surgery, and have nothing but high marks for this surgeon. He listened to our questions and concerns, and answered everything we asked, plus more. On the day of surgery, he was caring, and efficient. He even called when I got home to see how I was doing. My recovery is going well, and I am recommending this surgeon to my friends who are going to need hip replacement. l

I had a hip replacement by Dr. Van Nielen - in his new location - Everett, Washington. He was outstanding from every aspect. He was easy to talk to, and answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed. He's one of the nicest surgeons I have met, and I would recommend him above any others in this area. My recovery is going better than I expected, and my pain is virtually gone. I am glad I had this surgery, and that I was fortunate enough to be one of this surgeons patients. It couldn't have gone better.

Dr. Van Nielen was highly impressive from the first visit through the follow up appointment. He was personable, and focused on me and my case, taking the time to answer al of my questions, and the ones my wife asked. He called after I got home to see how I was doing. Pre-op appointment for upcoming hip replacement surgery. Dr Van Nielen was very professional and kind. Thoroughly explained what to expect and answered any and all questions I had.

Doctor Van Nielen successfully replaced my right hip. I'm pain free after years of not knowing what was wrong with me. Dr. Van Nielen and his staff didn't rush my appointments and answered all my questions. After surgery, when I was "out of it", he was polite and friendly while explaining the surgery to my family. I will recommend him to anyone with hip pain.

I've had 5 knee surgeries at Everett bone and joint. They have been great with taking care of me. Dr. Van Nielen. Took the time to listen to me about what issues I am having. He is super easy to talk to. He explains things so it's easy for me understand what is going on. I totally recommend him and I'm glad he's taking care of my knee.
