Dr. Soota is an outstanding doctor. I met Dr. Soota in May of 2020, at which time I had been dealing with an undiagnosed digestive issue since the previous July. I had lost a total of 55 lbs (1/3 of my weight) and was receiving IV nutrition, however the prognosis for my future was not encouraging. I had gone through extensive testing to find the cause but to no avail. During my last stay in the hospital, Dr. Soota (whom I hadn't previously met), stopped by my room late one afternoon to tell me he believed he knew what the problem was and to request my permission to run a test to diagnose the condition. I had the test the next morning and his suspicion was confirmed within hours. I was diagnosed with an extremely rare disease that was successfully treated with a biologic. I don't have words for how grateful I am to Dr. Soota for what I believe was an unrelenting pusuit to find the answer (even though he was leaving for his current job witin a coupe of days).

Went to him for gastroparesis and several other rare diseases. He never wanted to run any tests. We had to ask about tests. When he said he would run them. He said he wouldn't believe the tests because they come back wrong on someone like me, but if it came back normal he would believe it. He said I had a brain condition that caused me to think I was in pain. He said that all I needed was a psychiatrist and mind he has run no tests or looked at my chart. I have been diagnosed by several other doctors with gastroparesis and two minutes into my visit. He calls all the other doctors idiots and says my only problems are anorexia and anxiety. Do not waste your time with this doctor.
