Katherine Clawson's Online Review Report Card

My last two visits with her she spent more time focusing on my weight instead of the actual issues I came to see her for. I'd been having ankle pain for months and lingering pain after an infection and instead of taking time to examine and focus on those issues she decided to lecture me about my weight and misdiagnose me as morbidly obese. Morbidly obese is when you're at least 100 pounds overweight, if I lost 100 pounds I'd be anorexic. She then argued with me when I asked her to take it off my record. My last visit with her I went in to get imaging results and she didn't even mention them until I asked for them! She thought I was there to go over blood test results, which she used to further fat shame me and diagnose some poppycock issue about it being because I was too overweight. I spent 40 minutes in the waiting room for a visit of less than 10 minutes where she spent exactly 2 of those hurriedly going over the actual problems I was having. I'm never going back to see her.

Dr. Clawson consistently provides my family with thorough care and follow up. She is very knowledgeable and understands needs. Our family feels blessed to have her as our primary care physician.

Dr Clawson has been my pcp for many years now. She understands me well, and helps resolve my medical needs quickly. I don’t plan on changing doctors anytime soon.

I was almost in tears after my last visit with Dr. Clawson. After telling her all the pain I've been through with my UTIs recurring, she wouldn't give me a script for an antibiotic for future use (and the UTIs come on fast and furious when they do). She also wouldn't teach me how to do kegel exercises and I know that would help me resist UTIs. She said, "I cant really explain it any different to you." She made me feel so silly about it. Then after the appointment her nurse gives me a print out saying "If you are having trouble with kegel exercises speak to your provider for additional help and other ways to exercise your pelvic floor." I feel like Dr. Clawson's entire job is just to refer me to other people. The appointment today was useless, and I would not recommend her as a doctor.

I moved from Everett to Spokane. This MD took great care of me while I found MDs in this area. She understood I may run out of some meds and kept me with current prescriptions even if they were prescribed by another doctor. Thanks doc. Hope I find a replacement like you.

I went to urgent care with a uti and came to see her because my symptoms were getting worse she switched my antibiotic and I struggled and was very sick through the course. Went back after finishing antibiotics and she took 2 UA's, blood work and a ct scan and told me I did not have an infection. The next day my symptoms got so bad that I went to the ER. Had to get IV antibiotics. The med she switched me to is 40% of the time resistant to ecoli. A big ER bill and 2 weeks time and I'm finally on the mend.

She doesn't listen to your feelings or opinions of what's goings on with your own body. She misdiagnosis many times then prescribes meds without explaining their major side effects. Put my health at risk

I was experiencing neck issues and Dr. Clawson was not my primary care Dr. She saw me and sent me to the Spine Center ASAP! I think she is extremely caring and gets the job done right away and has a lot of empathy. I have already referred patients to her!

Often does not understand patient symptoms and misses critical health concerns which has lead to further complications. Had to get second opinions after seeing her a few times. I would not recommend.
