Dr. Adriance is a hard worker, listens well, responds appropriately. She is kind, compassionate, empathetic and has a good sense of humor. She is remarkable in sharing her knowledge without imparting personal experience or creating a " friendship". I feel very safe in anything I say being taken and understood independent of personal feelings. I think that is remarkable in a female therapist. I have no fears of transference undermining progress or potential gains. She is different than any therapist I have ever had. If you like a no nonsense approach to therapy you would like her. If your looking for someone to baby you.. maybe not so much. She doesn't waste time or mince words. She is showing me a glimpse of whole personhood I've not really seen before. She makes you work. think... and worst of all.. feel. Yikes!

Dr. Adriance is extremely knowledgeable regarding mental health issues. She is an active listener and as a patient, she holds me responsible for my part of our treatment plan. Very easy to talk with. My favorite thing is she doesn't mince words or sugar coat things. She treats me with respect and i feel like she believes in me.
