Dr. Tshionyi is an outstanding doctor. He helped us understand and cope with Alzheimer's diagnosis and did so with clarity and compassion. (NOTE: This is my 2nd time trying to post this review. I hope that it will be approved; doctors of this caliber deserve to have positive reviews that can be publicly viewed.)

He is fantastic! He caught what another "highly regarded" neurologist misdiagnosed. No hyperbole to say he saved my life. He also took time with me and let me be involved with my treatment. He advocated for more aggressive treatment and fought battles with the insurance company on by behalf.

I had the opportunity to visit Dr. Tshionyi on only one occasion for a review of my neurological condition. This is one of the most impressive doctors I’ve ever had the occasion to consult with and I’m sorely dissappointed that he is leaving his practice at OMG. I can only hope his replacement shows the care, compassion and concern that Dr. Tshionyi showed his patients.

Dr. Tshionyi is my go-to doctor for a number of problems. He has always listened carefully, reviewed my test results, and recommended treatments that have worked well. I don't understand why people have given him such low ratings when I consider him one of the best doctors I've ever had.

Horrible experience. Doesn't listen, or communicate. Didn't feel like I was taken seriously. Prescription didn't ever get sent into the pharmacy, even after calling several times.

My experience with Dr. Makambo was the most confusing and uncomfortable situation EVER. He was completely unprepared for the appointment, didn’t even go over the MRI results beforehand that the entire appointment was supposed to be focused on, SUPER unprofessional and scatter brained and didn’t even ADDRESS the patient (my mom) by name. Asked her (she’s having memory problems) what we were supposed to be going over, called white matter grey matter and grey matter white matter, said B-12 and then said he’s writing a prescription for B-2 and was saying “UMM and Okay and and and and” and smacking his lips constantly like “puck puck puck puck puck”. Then he prescribed a million things and left...

As of 2019 he is in Eugene, OR. Does not listen to his patients, talks incessantly, repeats himself 5 or 6 times. Does not give pertinent information on patient's condition. Actually told me to buy weighted utensils when they are not recommended by the Board of Neurology for my medical condition & did not answer me when I asked him about it. Very poor doctor.
