List of Providence Regional Medical Center's Reviews
My fiancé was involved in a MVA and was rushed to the ER. Before I arrived her entire body cramped up, she could not move and was screaming for help. Not once did a nurse check on her during that time. Not once did the nurse or doctor go over ANY test results, I had to ask questions when they came through MyChart. I understand our nurses and doctors are extremely over worked but this is unacceptable.
Extremely terrible staff! The nurse Sarah was so rough and man handled my friend who was having withdraws. The poor guy is autistic so I get it some things are going to be difficult. She didn’t treat this poor guy as a human being calling him gross and wiping her GLOVED hand on her leg. There was barely any sort of care as we are sitting in this ER waiting room for 8 hours! Providence do better!!
I was rushed to the ER because of Pneumonia earlier this week. I was sitting in the emergency room for 3 hours! Not much of an urgency here. They also told me that if i’m not bleeding out, it’s not that urgent. I sat at the waiting room, and waited for hours, as it was the only hospital near me, and I couldn’t manage to drive myself to another location. I don’t know if this is the general protocol for all American hospitals, but it’s truly vile, and extremely careless. The next time you catch yourself in an emergency situation, never go to PROVIDENCE!!!
Very helpful and kind nurses. Well organized place.
Worst hospital over all. No response and no plan. I came in around 12 am for an emergency ankle fracture and it took 3 o clock to go to room. One doctor says one thing and other one says another thing. It took 3.5 hours more just waiting to simply get xray and scan. And they put in admitting and lot of blood works and nothing again. Morning couple doctors comes in and surgery is done 10:30 am no reason for not discharging and no one knows why the discharge is not done waiting in recovery room for 6 hours still no bed available to shift to room but they still want to stay. No one visited in recovery to explain what next steps and process its totally worst hospital i wish they have negative 10 stars if i wish. Barring couple if nurses who can help nothing is good here
Came in on Cinco De Mayo around 9:30am because I have a history of Intestinal blockage, they admitted me right away, figured out the problem and the doctor gave me recommendations on how to feel better and my next steps. I was out by 1:45pm and I’m feeling so much better, thanks too Providence.
I took my daughter in and we were promptly taken back to a room. The attending ER doctor, Amy Walker, was amazing. She came right in and made my 6 year old feel comfortable. I felt I was speaking with a pediatrician, she was so great with kids. She also remained her composure throughout the entire visit, even while receiving calls for more urgent situations. Amy then called me the next morning to check on my daughter. I truly felt that was above and beyond. I had a really good experience here.
Thank you for taking care of my mother
My brother was in pain so bad he was supposed to get a ultrasound done but instead they had him wait 3 days
Medical staff is decent. Security has made being there unbearable. Traumatic horrendous experience in the midst of a traumatic life event and while you are crying and seeking help they call you a security threat and tell you to leave. I could go on and on about the experience and terrible miscommunication between hospital staff and security resulting in banishment from the grounds despite having all your care team at that location. Terrible patient advocacy. Terrible mistreatment of patient family members. If you can avoid going here.... Do so. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
