Rachel Allen's Online Review Report Card

Dr Allen has been my doctor for about 4 years. I have always found her to be thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her. Her office has been responsive and professional.

I've had a fair few neurology experiences, and by no means was Dr. Allen the worst. However, I found that her bedside manner is unfit for a field that handles diseases pertaining to such a vital and nuanced system as does neurology. She was analytical to a fault, treating my test results like a math equation with a simple answer. Another reviewer's comment of "one-size-fits-all" definitely applies. She wasn't frigid or uncaring, but so concerned with the numbers, that she forgot the data in front of her belonged to a living, feeling person. If you're a by-the-book patient who with a standard condition, perhaps she effective and right for you. But as a person with such a dynamic, nuanced, and unpredictable disease as Multiple Sclerosis, I do not recommend this neurologist if you need care.

Rachel Allen has been my neurologist for several years now. She's been very helpful in the managent of my medications and always spends plenty of time going through any concerns I have; she never rushes me through like some doctors often do. She's proactive and compassionate and even listened patiently and sympathetically when I was going through a rough patch. I value her expertise and opinion - I highly recommend her.

After ordering expensive tests to have her prescribe me life saving seizure medicine that obviously showed proof of my disorder this doctor still wouldn’t fill out any paperwork stating so. Do not see this doctor or go to this clinic if you are disabled. I called several times to ask why she couldn’t fill the form out and never got a legitimate answer. Lacked all compassion.

I can guarantee that any good reviews about this clinic are just nurses lying to try and get their clinics rating up higher. This is what will actually happen when you go to this clinic: 1. You will pay to see a doctor, the doctor's and nurses will do nothing to make your situation better and will just refer you out to pay another doctor, that they "think" will be able to address you medical situation better, even though that is what you originally paid them to do. So save money and just see another doctor. 2. The staff will lie about having tried to reach out to you and make the situation better, even after trying to contact them several times. 3. Management will not get back to you regarding any issues, that is until you show up at the clinic to get answers. 4. Then management will lie about making sure that the situation will be remedied. Save your time and money and just start out at a clinic that doesn't discriminate against people with disabilities.

She listened intensely, putting the pieces of my pain story together - asking tons of questions and finally identified the suspected cause of my pain. On time, spent lots of time with me, answered every question I had.

Dr. informed me via written letter that I "might have an aneurysm". Claims she called, but I never saw that, nor did she leave a voicemail. This "professional" caused me much personal distress over my health. When I followed up with her in the clinic, and she told me that it was likely not an aneurysm and if it was had a less than 1% chance of rupture. When I expressed my concerns, her attitude was dismissive and I left with the impression that she felt as the letter was "the ends that justified the means" to get me back into the clinic.

Dr Allen is amazing. She's a partner in your health and will work tirelessly through test after test (if necessary) to get to the root of whatever the concern is. She has great bedside manners and is very understanding and open. I would highly recommend her. Only drawback is the Everett Clinic clearly needs to hire more neurologists. Wait times for appointments can be a month easily. That's no reflection on Dr. Allen who will even stay late if necessary and starts her days by 7 am. If I could give her 10 stars, I would!

I went to this dr after a referral from a podiatrist about my neuropathy. I wanted to know EXACTLY what was wrong with my lower back to cause all of the pain I am in. I felt like she did not really hear me. Went to get the MRI and they said you are here for leg pain. I said no, I am here to find out about my lower back which is causing the neuropathy. So I get the MRI then there was no explaining it to me or anything. Then she referred me to a podiatrist which is where I came from! $370!
