List of Swedish Medical Group's Reviews
Fantastic! My husband had a medical emergency and Providence ED had 30 ppl waiting to be seen. I told him to go to Swedish and sure enough only 4 people ahead of him. Within the hour, he was seen, had an IV and imaging. Thank you Jesus for the awesome staff at Swedish taking care of him so quickly and figuring out what was wrong. ❤️
It's still the worst hospital I've ever had the unpleasure to experience. They couldn't diagnose post op infection with sleep psychosis. I'd lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks so they treated hydration and refused any other treatment. Ended up back for a week stay but they still couldn't diagnose me correctly.
This review is for Dr. Guynes and his team. Thank you so much for the care you all provided to my 14 year old daughter. She burnt her hand with boiling water and she was treated with so much care and kindness. You all did an amazing job. Thanks again.
Awful, awful ER. I went in Wednesday 10/13 as I had a 10cm mass on my right ovary and was experiencing excruciating pain. Nurse Betty was fantastic to work with. My growth is being evaluated for malignancy & she gave my husband and I so many reassurances while paying special care to me as i signified pain. Dr. Garcia on the other hand was awful. He cut me off multiple times, downplayed my pain (noted it as moderate even though that’s NOT what I said), and dismissed my growing and worrying symptoms as “acute change.” He gave me an injection of Dilaudid & Toradol and told me not to come back unless I was doubled over pain. Just because I wasn’t screaming doesn’t mean I wasn’t in pain.Fast forward to Sunday 10/17 and my pain is increasing even more. I refused to go back to Swedish so I almost took Dr. Garcia’s advice and went back to bed. Who was going to listen to me anyway?! Instead I listened to my body and had my husband drive me to Overlake in Bellevue, a longer drive yet one so worth it even in excruciating pain. EVERY SINGLE NURSE AND DOCTOR LISTENED TO ME HERE. I got scans, found out my mass had grown 6 more cms, and today was rushed into emergency surgery to find a large tumor that’s likely cancerous so my right ovary and tube had to ALSO be removed. If I allowed myself to believe in institutions like Swedish, it would be too late for me. Ovarian cancer is called a secret killer for a reason. Shame on Dr. Garcia for doing absolutely nothing for me, something as simple as taking a follow up lab, and shame on him for dismissing my pain. As a woman of color this experience is nothing new to me, and doctors like Dr. Garcia are exactly what is wrong with the healthcare system. If he had listened to me, perhaps I wouldn’t have had to lose an ovary. But if he himself doesn’t have ovaries, it’s fine right? Will never, ever go back here. Overlake Medical Center saved my life. Swedish Mill Creek didn’t even consider that something could be so seriously wrong. Again, shame on them, and shame on you, Dr. Garcia.
My ER trip went smoothly. I was seen right away. All the ER staff were professional and caring. I am happy I went to Swedish. I left much better off than when I arrived. Thanks Swedish!
My daughter went in for a covid last night and they told me they would her results within a couple hours. We went home and the next day around 1 I decided to look up her results since I never got a call. I was told I could find it on MyChart and I didn’t find them on there so I decided to give them a call. I called and someone answered and in the middle of me talking they go “one moment” and transfer me to someone’s else. After being on hold, someone else answered and asks what I need. I was then told they are not allowed to give results over the phone and that I needed to contact medical records. I get transferred to medical records and they try telling me I need to sign a release form and mail it to them. I JUST NEEDED COVID RESULTS I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN HOURS AGO. I hang up and decided to call my daughters primary care provider which is through providence ( a completely different organization) and see if they were able to help me. Within 5 minutes they were able to get her results up on my chart and she was super empathetic and helpful. I understand right now is a very difficult time for healthcare workers and I’d hate to sound like a “Karen” but seriously Swedish, DO BETTER.
Went in for covid test and chest exrays as I was having issues breathing. I was told by a doctor that works for kaiser that they should do chest exray and give appropriate treatment based off of the exray. I was tested for covid which was positive then I was sent home and told they were not a real hospital and I could be out of quarantine on the 8th of September. I was never exrayed or check out properly. They didn't even listen to my chest with a stethoscope. My friend that is a real doctor said he was appalled and sorry at the lack of care that I received and told me at kaiser they don't treat there patients like they do at sweedish. I will never go back and I will not pay whatever bill they send me. They need a 0 star review
You’re better off just going ahead and running the gambit on death rather than going into the ER here, at the rates they were charging I’d seriously just stitch myself if I needed sutures. The doctor and nurses were great, but by my best guess the doctor was billing out at $15,000 an hour for his time and the hospital charged around $5000 in addition for a small cup of antacid and an ecg. Financial help will give you the runaround like you wouldn’t believe as well. Seems kinda like a rook, though not sure which hospital isn’t set up to take you for all you’re worth anymore.
Staff are highly unprofessional and extremely rude.
The doctors nurses. Are great iv never been treated so good and kind they didn't treat you bad because of my addiction they were awesome kind made me feel like a human thank you

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
