The Everett Clinic's Online Review Report Card

I am sad to report that there is a level of unprofessionalism here that can be connected directly to Clinic policies around opioids. In my case, my doctor chose to assume I was inventing an injury in order to get drugs, when in fact a) after 20 years of a low dose prescription, I had chosen to give up opioids - which she knew and b) I had a serious injury which she chose to ignore instead saying it was arthritis which c) I later learned  was a fractured hip. I had never been able to tolerate the medication enough to develop an addiction. I used it solely for pain. When I gave it up there was nothing more than a mild headache which lasted for about a week. When I returned for a second opinion of my hip injury, the orthopedic surgeon said I had a fracture, but gave me none of the usual information when you are given a diagnosis (such as a printout of what it is, and how to care for it, which I had been receiving after each visits previously and so came to expect). Not even any advice other than use a walker, stay off it for six weeks and "sitting is good" just moments after I told him that sitting was excruciating. I suspect he was front-loaded with remarks or comments to treat me also as a drug seeker. So this place lives in the dark ages. Do not go to Drs. Clawson or Schaaf if you have any history of having been prescribed even a low dose of an opoid. Ignorance is in charge here.

I do NOT recommend EC. The doctor was condescending and rude. Would not listen to a word I said. Unless it was to be-little me.Care by her was mediocre at best. No suggestions for care because I had a lower insurance.I would give less than one star if I could.Save yourself grief and go somewhere else.

For sleep disorders, the Dr. sure have their minds made up...  CPAP is sold hardcore here.  They gloss over other options, but the second you take the Docs advise, be prepared to have expensive tests done, that they pay no attention to, and still have the machine pushed on you...  oh, they do a half hearted look into your insurance, since they really could care less if this is not covered at the end of the day, since that becomes your problem...  do yourself a favor, research the advise they give you on your own.  Read reviews and take suggestions, and price check equipment online...  You will be happier...  the Docs here have a clear mission, hint...  it's not your health care, it's selling products.

No respect of patients time. Too much gabbing not enough taking care of patients!

Came down from Whidbey Island to see a pulmonologist. Waited about a minute to check in and the same to be called back to the exam room. We were seen quickly by both the doctor's aide and the doctor. Doctor suggested further tests that were ordered quickly and we were out the door before our appointment was initially supposed to start. This is the only experience we have had with the Everett Clinic. Couldn't ask for more.

I recently saw Weiqing My in Everett Clinic's new Pain Management facility.  It was one of the worst doctor's appointments I've ever had.  He obviously never looked at my chart prior to the visit.  He concentrated on 1 diagnosis when I have 4 or 5.   I wasn't seeing him for medication management because my PCP handles that and was recently seen at Swedish Pain Management for that.  I saw him to get certain procedures done that worked, it's just I require stronger sedation or to be put under. Well, he didn't even want to talk about that and referred me back to the original doctor at Swedish Pain Management, even after I told him she won't do it anymore because it causes me to much pain.  The worst part of the visit was when he was smiling and kinda laughing.  When I said " why you laughing this is my life your talking about not yours" he proceeded to say I'm trying to break the ice like really ????  He didn't provide and solutions.  He concentrated on fibromyalgia.  Then a medication that was a 1 time use.  He wasn't listening to me and made me feel like I was doing something wrong.  I'm not stupid and I know what goes on in the world and there are a lot of people out there that make it hard for people like me to get the proper care they need.  When I mentioned I was over 350lbs. He calmed down and said that it sounds like I had some concerns.  you got that right.  He ended up prescribing me a medication that I didn't know about and I can't take.  Of we discussed it in the visit I could tell him why but it shows he never read my chart.  I don't mind giving the facility another chance because the RN was really nice but he was not. My Psychologist suggested I post this review to let it out.

Dr. Daniel E. Major, NeurologyThis person does not belong in the medical field. He nearly killed my fiancé. He was misinforming about his diagnosis of his condition, or lack thereof, and the meds he prescribed. He showed no concern for his medical wellbeing. He lied every time we went to an appointment, always denying what he had said the visit before. He is arrogant, condescending, rude, and a coward. Because of Dr. Major and his office staff, my fiancé ended up in a coma for a month, barely escaping death. Please do not receive care from this person.

Beware of their billing practices.  When you schedule a physical which should be considered preventative, which in my case is 100% covered, get ready for a surprise.  If you speak to your doctor about ANYTHING you can expect you bill coded as a problem focused patient visit.

Everett Clinic has horrible billing practices.  Twice now they have sent us bills anywhere from 9-11 months after doctor's visits or procedures and blame it on the insurance company when in fact, it's the EC not following up in a timely fashion and when you ask for certain answers, they avoid them. They are the only medical business that I have encountered this with (and now it's been twice!)  The gal I talked to in Billing represents the EC in a very unprofessional way with her choice of words in conversation.  I told her that I have already filed my complaint with Better Business Bureau and will contact Jess Jones - King5 news.  We have been with the EC for 18 yrs for our entire family and this is disheartening to know that they are represented in such a way.   They sent out letters stating they audited themselves and found several unprocessed claims (which meant they dropped the ball somewhere) and we had already paid prior years deductibles and Health Savings Acct, etc and files taxes, so it's unacceptable practice.  And, EC states "this is a very common practice & sorry that you don't like it!"  it's not a matter of liking it - it's a matter of "bad billing practices" by a business.

I have to agree with the above poster about Dr. Li in Marysville being the creepiest/most perverted family practice doctor around. I wish i would have read it before going in. It would have saved us a lot of trauma and heart ache. My wife and I went in for  physicals and she made it clear she wanted to her female stuff to be done by her np that she normally sees. He was very forceful that she do her pelvic exam and pap smear with him and he asked her 3 different times to perform it. During the end of the exam she was handed a gown and said to change into it for her breast and pelvic exam even though she had refused it 3 times already. She said no way on her pelvic exam again (she was also on her period) which she informed Dr li of at the beginning of the appt and he still tried to make her do it. He forced her into a breast exam to sign of on her physical even though she wanted that to be done by her np as well. He then spent 7 plus minutes performing the breast exam. My wife has had a few breast exams before and said it has never taken longer than 2 minutes (shes in her early 20's). Upon completion he looks at me says wow you are a lucky man. I was in dis belief of what had just happened and it validated the fact of what was really going on. My wife was in shock and so was I that she had just been taking advantage of right in front of our eyes by a dr we are supposed to trust. We left feeling completely violated and horrified. They are similar reviews for this man on yelp. Do yourself a favor and stay away! Hopefully this man looses his license to practice soon.
