List of Multicare Tacoma General Emergency - Federal Way's Reviews
Fastest ER visit of my life. Nurses and doctor were kind and efficient. They did an EKG, blood work, and x-rays all in about 15 minutes. This will be my go-to for any future ER visits.
Came here for a COVID test and the staff is super rude. Just go elsewhere. Spent 20 minutes just waiting to be seen then another 15 minutes sitting in a hallway after they already took the test. Extremely inefficient.
I called the ER to ask a question about the ambulance they said if complaint is worst you need go to a full hospital. This hospital need be shutdown totally they are as bad as St.Francis hospitals in Federal way.
Just don't. Had major dehydration symptoms, similar enough to covid, had already drank a ton of water but decided to go to the ER anyway. Was told I'd have to get a covid test before anyone could join me in the room. Saw doctor and assistants in my room twice in 15 minutes checking vitals and giving Tylenol, then was left alone for 30 minutes, no test, no button, took off the monitors, alarms sound for a bit and silence, no one comes to check for a couple minutes, and I walk out, they ask why, I tell them my perspective, and they say I did not need a test, and tell me to hydrate. Great, thanks, here's your $1000 and some reviews and surveys for my trouble.
My journey started from the urgent care to the ER. When I arrived at the ER. I thought I was going have to wait and deal with unpleasant receptionist nurse etc. Because that how people are acting now a days. But when I arrived I was shock to be greeted with friendliness. My son got seen by Dr.Western and he was amazing. He showed his concern towards my son and went above to see what was going on with him. His team of nurses were very friendly and assuring my son that he was going to be ok. It helps going into a place knowing your child is sick and everyone is friendly and understanding. Also the ER waiting room was very clean and rooms.
Nurse or staff girl was so rude.
Took my wife here recently and the service was incredible. Everyone we interacted with was so helpful and they came to get us before we had even sat down in the waiting room. Doctors and nurses were knowledgeable and prompt. All in all, the best experience I’ve had at an ER.
The place is so nice and very clean, the staff is nice, respectful and skilled. Dr. Brian Beerbower is wonderful. He takes great care of the patient and listens to every word and discusses it with the patient. They are all wonderful and treat the patient with great care and kindness. Thank you all.
Worst experience ever! Felt unwelcome, felt unnoticed. Went in at 4pm with my sick child. Checked in and 3-4 ppl came after me (yes , some get seen faster due to seriousness of problems) but all of them got seen before my son. Finally got seen to get vitals to then asked to wait in the lobby again. At this point power has been a bit crazy too. While waiting more people come by. They get seen before my son again. Some never come back out others come back out to wait and less than 5 min for back in. It’s about 7:00 pm and nothing, had to take my son out to run and jump because how much can a 2 year old handle. I asked 3 times how much longer. Nurse calls us and tells us they don’t have rooms, if the hallways would be fine. I told her yes of course as long as dr sees my sick child. This is when my anxiety and stress starts. I got there at 4pm ! Everyone in the hallway got there after I did and almost all of them were almost done with their visit. Seriously?! My son at this point is tired and cranky. They come to take vitals again. And say dr will be with us soon. Then a nurse come and sees what’s wrong. She doesn’t do much. Checks heart and looks at mouth. That’s it. I ask her for Some water because my poor sick child feels really thirst. She says okay and walks by us like 8 times and nothing. My sick son keeps asking for water and to go home. I’m so upset. I ask for water again the nurse says okay hold on. 5 min later someone finally gets water my son was so happy. Another 30 min pass and nothing. Finally another nurse come by to take vitals again !! Are they not noting it down.?says dr wants you to just follow up with his pediatrician and to give him Tylenol if needed. Are you freaking kidding me ! No DR saw my child. She and he saw everyone else around me and totally ignored us ! I still don’t know what’s wrong with my son till he sees his pediatrician. I waiting more than 5 hours to just be told okay bye. I’m so disappointed in the multicare. What if my son has an infection and I’m unaware and gets worse before seeing anyone ?
Not busy at all, no waiting hours. A nurse at St Francis mentioned she didn't know why people didn't go to tacoma general, they wait hours just to be seen at the emergency room at st francis. The rooms at tacoma general are nice with TV and they give you warm blankets. They take time to treat you. St francis you wait hours just to be rushed out with a band aid on your booboo just to come back the next week

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
