Took my Daughter here for a procedure. Which was preformed by Dr. Nathan Frost. The facility was vary clean and they are going above and beyond on following the COVID-19 protocols. The Doctors, Nurses and Staff were all great and My daughter felt vary comfortable, safe and liked the entire staff.
First off, if you are going to ask anyone at this facility about obtaining an exemption from the mask mandate, they will tell you that they follow the CDC and the Governors recommendations regarding this.... only they dont. If pressed, you will eventually hear that it is against Multicares policy to issue any letters supporting an individuals ability to not wear a mask in a public place for any reason. Now, specifically, Dr Shannon Rice has repeatedly proven that she is dishonest, she doesnt listen to or review her patients current needs or medical history, and she routinely puts the needs of her patients far behind other concerns. Her work ethic leaves a lot to be desired, and she has failed to go to any inconvenience for the wellbeing of her patients. She completes the bare minimum standards to achieve positive patient outcomes and is not a doctor that anyone can rely on for professional, prompt, or courteous service regarding their medical needs.Dr Rice is insensitive and insincere as a medical professional and she and her staff drop the ball regularly on patients, making the people she is supposed to be serving do most of the work for their own care. When scheduling appointments, on her 3 days per week in the office, she regularly runs behind schedule, making some patients wait over an hour. She is an embarrassment to the Medical profession in general, particularly the Gig Harbor Clinic.
After waiting almost six weeks for an appointment with Dr Blaisdell, she canceled my appointment two hours before it was scheduled. I had then had to call back in, waiting ten minutes to just get a person, and was rescheduled a week later. The day before the second appointment, I got another call that Dr Blaisdell had to also cancel my second appointment. I called in again.. waiting on hold again, and got a person that couldnt schedule me any time soon. So I escalated the issue and finally got to Jackie , her nurse i think, after another round of phone tag, and then I was asked to wait another ten days. Apparently the Dr has a lot of rules around scheduling... no new patients in the afternoon, no patients at all on Wednesdays. I have no idea what kind of DR she is, but she obviously has a monstrous ego and has no problem jerking people around. After taking two days off for appointments that got canceled, and not getting the medical care that I really need, Im going to try with a completely different facility. I will also be escalating to MultiCare management.
Always fast and very caring
MultiCare Gig Harbor is an amazing organization, with wonderful staff. Personally, I believe it deserves a much higher rating than it currently has. The facilities are well kept and clean, the staff are uber friendly, and they continue to be one of the more efficient medical centers around. My recent experience with Shannon Rice, ARNP was extraordinary - caring, professional and extremely knowledgeable. A huge thumps up to her and the rest of the nursing staff. You all are great and I am so glad that I have you as my Primary Care professional.
Don't ever be late for an appointment...even though they have ZERO parking...because they could care less about you as a patient...no matter how many years you've been a patient there or how severe your emergency is...THEY WILL NOT SEE YOU!!!!!
Helpful friendly staff who made the experience comfortable for me.
I have nothing but great experiences here. I have my general dr at this facility and have appointments regularly. I also have seen an ortho here. I come to the lab often for testing and have great experiences with that as well. I have used their urgent care and pediatric express also great staff and drs. There are often long wait times. But that is expected with any medical establishment Ive been to. Highly recommend!
Between my wife and I, we have seen 3 different doctors for 3 different reasons, none of which included anxiety or depression. All 3 times we walked out with prescriptions for Lexapro even though we said we dont need or want to be on antidepressants and were shocked to be offered it, being so far removed from our symptoms. Whatever the Lexapro pharm rep is doing to buy this office he or she is on their game. And this whole office is obviously for sale. I didnt know Lexapro cured any and everything.
For the first three years they couldn’t remember who I was. You will wait forever past your appoitment time. I called because my prescription wasn’t refilled. When I asked about why my phone call was not returned I was told “we get 180 calls a day it’s not possible to get to them all”. I have been ran out of my medication for almost two weeks due to a staffing change. There is no returned phone calls on why the medication has not been issued. They would say you have to have an appointment scheduled, I do. You weren’t suppose to take the medication as it is prescribed on the directions from the doctor, it has to last 28-30 days. The direction per the doctor’s orders was written as 1 tab every four hours, that would be 180 pills for 30 days. The prescription bottle only comes with 110 pills sometimes 124. I was told “It is my fault I did not follow the directions” and I can not have more medication. At what point did I not follow the directions? This office rescheduled my appointments for six months, while a nurse practitioner was out on medical. I demanded to see a physician July because my pain levels had increased. I do not feel that patient care is important to this company based on the way I was treated. I had a nurse announce a procedre that I needed to have done in the lobby in front of room full of people, not only was I embarrassed, I think that goes against HIPA. The office has a few good telephone and scheduling personal who try to make up for the horrible way patients are treated, but they have no authority and are not empowered by the company to fix anything. I could go on with more stuff that happen in 2018 but it has now carried over to 2019. I am seeking a new place for my patient care, I deserve to be valued as human being. I am billed $150 for an office visit that usually lasts less than 20 minutes with the physician.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
