List of Daniel Hu's Reviews
Dr. Hu is an amazing doctor, if you have nothing wrong. Once I started getting worse (kidney failure) he was almost non existent. Before I had to start dialysis, I was constantly asking what to look out for, to know when dialysis needed to be started. He told me, "You'll just know". I have had several health issues I've had to deal with, it's VERY hard for me to "just know" when I am always not feeling good. I asked specifically for what numbers to look for in my labs, and he kept saying don't worry. It came to a close for me, to get a new Nephrologist, when I had a second access surgery and the surgeon put in a fistula even though it was agreed that a graft would be put in. No, this isn't Dr Hu's fault, but he did come into dialysis and yell at ME for getting a fistula instead of a graft...when I DID NOT OK A FISTULA EITHER. He NEEDED to be yelling at his good friend Dr Su, whom preformed the surgery, possibly high might I add due to all the giggles he had pre surgery. Initially, I was happy with Dr. Hu. When he didn't have to do anything. But when my health got worse, he seemed indifferent towards my care. I wish he gave me numbers to look out for in my labs, whereas I could have changed certain things in order to push back any dialysis as much as possible. When I needed him, he did not make me feel supported or like he had to knowledge I needed to be confident in him being my Doctor. So I saw a different one and she is much, much, MUCH better and more supportive. She listens, she gives input and she cares about my personal life. Dr Hu never asked about my personal life, which DOES matter. It can tell a person many things about lifestyle and what to recommend medically. Dr Hu wasn't personal and he also didn't give straight forward knowledgeable answers. Dr Hu is the equivalent to a shoulder shrug.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
