Heramba Mental Healthcare's Online Review Report Card

I honestly cannot recommend this place enough! First of all the staff is so friendly and professional, I haven't spoken to anyone yet who hasn't been. I do strictly virtual telehealth visits (I don't know if they have in person visits mind you) and switching from talking to my psychiatrist to setting up my next appointment is seamless and both done in the appointment call itself, so you don't have to hang up and call in separately to get this done which makes things extremely simple, easy, and quick. Dr. Yao himself is also always friendly and polite but, more importantly to me personally after previous experiences I've had elsewhere, also always professional! He listens to my concerns and thoughts and always addresses them and is never dismissive which is something honestly new to me in my years of seeing psychiatrists and therapists. Even if something I'm worried about isn't something I should be worried about he talks it through with me instead of outright just telling me not to worry or something which I genuinely appreciate so much. Whenever he makes a suggestion for a treatment or medication change he always explains why he's suggesting it and what it will do for me, so I'm never questioning what I'm taking or why. He also listens to me and takes my wants into consideration, like trying to work on side effects from my medication first before switching me to something different because I really like how my medication works for me and don't want to switch if I don't have to. Again, new experience with psychiatrists for me. I never feel judged when talking to him, I never feel like I'm being ignored or like I'm stupid for the thoughts or concerns I have. He works *with* me. Edit: I forgot to mention, requesting refills for medication can be done from the patient portal which means if you're forgetful, like me, you can do it when you remember to at 1am in the morning when the office is closed instead of having to wait for them to open and hope you remember to call! Absolutely a lifesaver!

I have been with Heramba for at least a year. They provide telehealth appointments that work so well for me. The convenience of not having to coordinate to make it to your appointment while still receiving such great care is amazing and something I had not experienced before. I have never felt rushed or unheard by my provider. The staff is also very kind and professional. There's also a range of appointment hours that they offer sometimes till later than other places I've experienced. If your seeking help, this place and their providers are worth a call. The care I have received has been life changing. In nothing but positive ways.

Wonderful, caring and human to human kindness. I have been a patient here for over a year now and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for my mental wellbeing. The people at Heramba have been nothing but helpful with me. It was my first time ever seeking out help like this, and telehealth as well. But a good friend recommended Heramba to me and I've not once regretted it! Setting up the initial meeting can feel a bit overwhelming but I promise you it's worth it. Just push through all the paperwork and inquiries and get Zoom figured out. Dr.Tchido Yao is very kind and transparent when speaking about your concerns and will explain anything if you ask. The staff have been wonderful as well, helping me set up appointments, get refills and even call if they see if I've not gotten into the meeting in time yet, making sure to assist if I'm having trouble. I can't speak for everyone's insurance, but mine has been recieved just fine and I've not had any issues there aside from some refill overlap while trying out new medication dosages and needing to wait until i could refill. But that was a one time issue and now that I'm at a set amount we found that works with me, I've not had any problems since, requesting a refill is quite easy on their portal and everything is easy to find and comprehend. Overall, I would absolutely suggest Heramba to anyone who is seeking that first step into getting answers and assistance with their mental health. :)

The entire team at Heramba has been, and continues to be amazing. Never have I had such an easy process of virtual appointments and medication management. I would recommend them to anyone looking for management and care of their mental health needs!

I’m absolutely disgusted with how my daughter and I have been treated with this group. When we first started seeing a provider for medication refills, I asked if the provider can also work on getting her diagnosed with Autism, and informed them since I lived a few hours away that I would be more then happy to drive up to do more testing which is needed. When my daughter assaulted me at her school and went to jail the provider told me this is normal teenage behavior, which is not true, there are more underlying issues, more test that need to be done but again the provider neglected to do so and pretty much made me feel like they didn’t care at all. They do not automatically send in medication, which is absolutely wired to me, so being a single part of 3 and working full time trying to remember when she needs a refill can get challenging, even more when my daughter is telling me after she took her last pill. Then calling to get a refill is absolutely ridiculous and you get put through so many hoops. I will also be reporting to the state because I know I’m not the only one being treated this way and if they want to conduct business like this then they need to be shut down. DO NOTE SEE THESE PEOPLE!

I am so thankful I found Dr. Yao and his team. They go above and beyond to make sure patients are taken care of. Dr. Yao is compassionate, he listens well, and always offers excellent advice. I appreciate the timeliness and responsiveness of all the ladies and Dr. Y. I have had situations arise with the pharmacy a few times and the issues have been resolved by the team quickly and professionally. I am also very grateful that I am ALWAYS seen on time. Time is a critical factor for me and I appreciate that Dr. Yao hasn't been late in nearly 2 years of seeing him. Thanks for your dedication to serving others and a big thank you to the entire staff for all you do.
