Kaiser Permanente's Online Review Report Card

The service in the lab is worse than terrible!!! Each time I've been there the staff is extremely rude and incompetent. I called to report a concern, but the terrible service in the lab is a complete disservice to Kaiser. Kaiser, please either fire the staff who currently work there and hire new staff or train them much better than they've been trained.

I came in to get labs drawn this morning. The technician arrived for work 15 minutes late. I waited in the lobby for half an hour, even though I was only the second person in line.The tech insisted on drawing from a collapsed vein. When I told the tech to use the opposite arm, she laughed at me. I told her I'm a nurse, and she said, "Oooh. You're a nurse. What are you going to do, SUE me?" And continued to draw from the collapsed vein. When no blood came out, I told her to take the damn hint and use the other arm. She did, and blood came forth.She continued laughing at me throughout. I asked her what was so god damn funny and she stopped.

I have found the Kent office staff to be helpful. I will say they need a new physical building. I think the A #1 problem at this location is the layout. First, you walk in the front door and bam...there you are, right in the waiting room. There is no foyer or anything. So, now that you have walked in, all eyes look your way...including the receptionist/secretary/intake specialists. I could see random people walking in there and how frustrating that must be for the KP workers...so of course, they are probably leery of everyone walking in. It is a shock to the system when you walk in and the workers kinda "yell" at you....how can I help you? They are stuck behind the desk; you are at the door; there are 15 people looking at you waiting to hear what you want. The physical layout is disconcerting.... Second, when you go back to vaccinations, you are right in the middle of the workstation. I mean, I'm no nurse but I sure feel like it in Kent. It feels like going to a restaurant but you have to walk through the kitchen to get to the tables. I've had lots of blood draws there...the workers are great but again, patients are stuck in the hallway waiting. I go to Federal Way KP a lot and that place is ginormous compared to Kent. I was hoping Kent would move into the old KMart building but hasn't happened yet. I am sure 79% of these 1 star reviews would disappear with a better layout. As for the workers, they're good. Very polite and responsive to my questions.

My daughter had several panic attacks at school. The fire department was called and also the ambulance. It’s been three times so far this year. The fire department recommended that she doesn’t wear a mask. I asked Dr. Gill to write her a letter excusing her from wearing a mask due to the fact that she hyperventilates and gets shallow breathing. Her school was ok with it given she has a doctors note as some people don’t have to wear mask due to a medical condition. Dr. Gill refused to write the letter so if my daughter stops breathing I’m suing for negligence.

The front desk staff is extremely rude. Especially the older African American women. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional she was. I just needed help with something simple and she acted like it was a problem.

Haven’t used this pharmacy yet but why wouldn’t you be open on the weekend? I work 2 jobs and can’t make it on the weekdays to pick up my prescription. Now I’m screwed until Monday and have to move around my work schedule.

The front desk staff is callous and rude

i have had symptoms since i was a child. no doctor could figure out what was going on. years of specialists referrals and testing. the first time i went to Kaiser the doctor identified two Medical diagnoses within the first hour of the appointment. i highly recommended this facility. they are awesome

My daughter injured her hand. To me it looked broken. They did an Xray and said they didnt see that it was broken. The Dr who saw my daughter said its a possible sprain and for me to go home and wrap it. But isnt that her job Im at the doctors office and I have to go home and wrap it. Yeah no Her swelling did NOT go down two days after we saw them and we had to take her to Bellevue. Bellevue urgent care did a way better job and we got a different answer. They said it might be fractured and they put on a splint which is more than Kent Clinic. I will never allow my family to be seen at the Kaiser Kent Clinic. We are switching locations.
