If you're overweight, don't meddle with this one. My mom passed away under his care with many small cancerous tumors scattered throughout her body, one being the liver and a large mass in her belly. The one thing he focused on was her weight and disregarded the rest, causing him to miss every red flag. Her cancer was so progressed, that from the point of when she got diagnosed by the ER Physician and the time she passed away, it was one month. We begged her to switch to a different primary care when she started bleeding heavily post menopause, but she was too embarrassed because she was overweight and expected the care to be the same elsewhere. This doctor did not see post menopausal bleeding as anything for her to be concerned about. He is great at refilling prescriptions such as Tylenol and BP meds. If you need a script writer and not someone who's willing to see beyond medicine being a great business opportunity, look for someone else.

Dr. Chan has been my physician through maternity, colds, flues, referrals for surgery, and many more things. He has never rushed through any of my visits no matter how busy he is. He always shows concerns and has called me at my residence when he has ever had concerns or needed more information. Excellent follow up and a considered a friend.

I would not recommend this doctor. He sits and faces the computer through the visit, rarely making eye contact. He does not have a hands on type of bedside manner and is quick to dismiss your concerns. I will be looking for a new doctor.

His hospital bedside manner is much to be desired. He needs to work in that area as I didn't know why he was even there. He speaks too harshly while you are ill.

Great Doctor, our family has seen Dr. Chan for over 6 years and he is great. We are seen as soon as possible, have never waited in his office for longer than 15 min. I especially like the way he speaks with my elderly Mother. He's very direct yet compassionate.
