List of Gastro Health's Reviews
I used two months and was not able to schedule an appointment. After my doctor sent referral I called them up for an appointment. I was told their staff will review my record first and then call me for an appointment. It is the first time I heard any clinic needing to review records before scheduling. After 2 months and repeated calls to the clinic and no body called me for appointment scheduling or information of what was happening.I have given up and asked my doctor for referral to another doctor.
BEWARE fraudulent billing. While my experience with the doctors and health professionals was good enough I will unfortunately never return due to the administrative team and billing process. after 7 months of back and forth I still havent received an accurate bill nor have I received a requested itemized bill for the services. I was BULLIED into paying a $700 deposit for a procedure without any heads up interesting because the preprocedure tells you to not even bring a wallet in only for those monies to NEVER show up as a credit on any of the bills. What started as over a $2k bill was eventually whittled down to $200 after I kept asking questions and poking holes into this process. IF you are a client check your bills you are being intentionally ripped off. If you are considering going here dont. Such a shame because i will now be starting over with a new doctor but trust me its beyond worth it. The lack of transparency in the billing process is abhorrent and should be looked into by legal.
My doctor is great dr. Sue Eng but the group she works for and the administrative personnel are the worst Ive come across. Truly astounding how incompetent the scheduling service is and the assisting staff in the office. I had just met with Dr. Eng and she left the room to have her assistant or technician review with me the produces for a colonoscopy and I kid you not this was the professional advice I was given so basically you cant eat anything staring on 1013 just Junk food and stuff like that...I said excuse me?? Im sure Im supposed to eat things like rice or chicken that are healthy but permissible?...she said ummmm well guess they should give us a list of what you can eat instead of a list of what you cant eat...basically you can eat chips and stuff like that actual junk food since you cant eat fresh food.. OMG how did this person graduate from school??? Then with regards to schedules when I called to make the appointment and was trying to tell them Ive had this procedure before and Im not able to tolerate the standard 1gallon solution you must drink as a preparation so please give me the one that requires less solution to drink. they said ok so basically I will tell them you are not able to drink or tolerate any liquids..... Nope that is not what I said at all........this is seriously how grave medical errors occur. The year before when I called to tell them I was out of medication and I think I need a refill before my upper GI they said you should be fine if the doctor wanted you to have more medication they would have prescribed it. so I showed up for my upper GI with the doctor confused and frustrated asking why I had not been taking the medication that was necessary to perform proper test and measurements as to whether it was working on not...... Total gross incompetence persons working for this place.
I’m reviewing just to say I’ve had no problems getting appointments. Just called on this busy Monday morning and expected a long wait time on phone. Took less than a minute to have scheduler pickup. I was scheduled after 3 minutes on the phone for a date in a couple weeks. Dr. Mason and his staff have been awesome any time I have been here for issues. I can only think that these crazy times have struck this office like everywhere else.
As almost all the other reviews state absolute horrendous experience trying to call. Lab results? Who the heck knows because they wont post them in the portal and they wont call you with results and if you call them the call center will only send a message that will likely never be responded to. Impossible to reach anyone that can help. How is this practice still functioning?
Dr. Gavrila is great. I wish she would practice somewhere else. She is the only reason that I didnt give this place one star. You cant call for an appointment they have to call you. But they dont. It took THREE MONTHS to finally get someone to make an appointment for me to talk to a nurse so she could make an appointment for me to see the doctor. Dont bother doing the online paperwork they will make you fill it out again.
They will not answer the phone for scheduling or patient questions. If and when you finally do get through to someone you are told that they can only leave a message in their system and someone will get back to you. Even if the message is flagged urgent you’ll wait for any follow up.When I was first referred here I scheduled an appointment for the earliest opening a month out this is a common theme with scheduling labs were ordered timely but results were slow to be provided. I had to call and message multiple times to get my results. Followup care has been abysmal. When I finally managed to complete my first round of treatment phone calls and messages went unanswered for over a week until I was informed that the ARNP that had been treating me had left the practice. That was it. No other assistance. Had to call in and schedule a whole new appointment with another provider for over a month out just to continue my treatment.Simple things like filling a prescription or responding to a pharmacistinsurance question will take weeks. Just submitting paperwork to the pharmacy has taken them a week and I still do not have confirmation they have sent it.If you get a referral to receive treatment here you should demand another practice. Because your care isn’t their priority.
TIP FOR GETTING THROUGH TO YOUR PROVIDERS TEAM FOR QUESTIONSWhen calling their office dont press 4. Instead press 6 for If you are a physician or hospital calling for one of our physicians. This will take you directly to one of the nurses in their clinic instead of the call center. This office is painfully slow to reply to any messages you leave them. After waiting weeks for for my lab results i got nothing in the mail from the provider and instead got a short message through the healow app. I had to call the office bc i still hadnt received my lab report and i had questions regarding the message the dr sent me. Tried several times over the course of a week and nothing. No call back. I had to resort to dialing the line meant for other providers offices to get a hold of a nurse who then gave me the MAs direct extension. Only then was i able to get a hold of someone only to find out that the dr is out of the office on vacation. Classic.
The phone is always busy... Wait forever to get an appointment 3 months later Hard to reach a lively person even for a follow up visit
I email you guys to schedule an appointment. You tell me to call. I call and get put on hold for 30+ minutes. You guys never call me back. I have requested an appointment via your website 6 times now and no one gets back to me. It’s ridiculous. Been dealing with gastro issues for almost a year and it’s largely because I can’t make a damn appointment

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
