Do not do visit the office of Miriam D Johnson. My son was issued two knee straps approximately one inch in width that wrap around the knees. We were never told of their potential cost or if our insurance would cover it. The straps and ones similar to it can be found online for $10 dollars. We were billed $100.00. I called the office of Miriam D Johnson to ask why we were not told the potential costs up front, why they were given before insurance covered them and that these braces can be found 90% less expensive online. The office told me none of that was their problem and they are under no obligation to be up front with those kind of details to their clients. I am notifying the Attorney General’s office, and the Washington State Medical Commission. This is an example why heath care is so expensive and why people like me, even though it’s a matter of $100.00, need to complain.
