Susan H. Whang's Online Review Report Card

My personal experience with Dr Whang was that she was inexperienced with handling a simple surgery for my wife. When we met with Whang and I asked her questions and shared my concerns her responses seemed incompetent and clearly didn’t really Know how to handle the problem. As a longtime Evergreen patient my advice would be to seek another surgeon if you need surgery.

Becareful! I went in for a simple lipoma removal on my back and now facing some serious issues with infection, delayed healing, scarring, and pain & suffering. From the minute I laid on the table for surgery I felt like she was half present, and unbelievably rough. I left feeling like I had been gutted. I had this lump removed 15 yrs ago so I knew what to expect and this was beyond ridiculous. The notes she wrote were totally wrong and not even close to what really occurred. Several calls and visits for weeks trying to get proper follow up care was negligent. Now thankfully I am working with a wound care doctor and plastic surgeon. I am not ok with what happened. If I post a pic of the wound they delete my review and that’s really too bad the public can’t see the truth.

I felt like Susan Whang was inexperienced with a simple procedure causing me a ridiculous recovery that should have taken a week and instead took several months and took other clinics to do follow up care. Dr Whang was out of her element and didn’t bother to properly advise me. I literally became my own expert and became my own strong advocate.

I would use extreme caution using Dr Whang for any kind of surgical treatment. My experience with a minor lipoma removal was a disaster. The aftercare I felt was neglectful and feel she was dishonest about the reality of her work and need for better training. I was fortunate enough to find a wound clinic to help me and an excellent surgeon to reopen me up and properly sew me up. What should have been a week long healing turned into 3 months of aftercare on a perfectly healthy person. Very disappointing overall.

Amazing Surgeon and very thoughtful person with excellent professionalism in a compassionate manner which in my opinion is the ideal kind of surgeon/ doctor. I appreciate her thoroughness as well. ♥️

I regret trusting Dr Whang with a simple lipoma removal. The whole process was horrible. I felt dismissed when I knew there was a problem. Thankfully I was able to get help from another clinic and a surgeon to correct the mess. I would just use Caution when choosing whether to trust her with your body

Simple lipoma removal has turned into a nightmare. I would use extreme caution for anyone considering using Dr. Whang and look elsewhere. I believe Dr. Whang means well but she lacks basic standard of care protocols and I regret my decision to use her as my surgeon.

I had to have my gallbladder removed as it was infected, had sludge and multiple gallstones. Dr. Whang was nothing but caring and compassionate, listening to my every worry and concern. I had a few issues 3 weeks post op and Dr. Whang was there making sure I was taken care of and that all the tests were done to help fix any potential issues. I'm currently waiting to be admitted by Evergreen on Dr Whangs orders because she is advocating for my health.

I thank God for Dr. Susan Whang -- she did not 'rush' me into a possibly unnecessary surgery -- rather she ordered additional testing to rule out other causes for my symptoms. Dr. Whang is completely professional and totally COMPASSIONATE in dealing w/patients. I am grateful for her willingness to listen, provide good medical counsel and follow through in each aspect of needed procedures. I would recommend Dr. Whang to my friends and family without reservation!

I am grateful to Dr. Whang for her cautious approach to "possible" needed surgery. -- she took the TIME to listen to all my symptoms, ordering additional tests to rule-out other causes for my pain. Dr. Whang is extremely professional, competent and COMPASSIONATE -- I am thankful that she performed my surgery. I would recommend Dr. Whang to my family and friends without hesitation.
