List of The Emily Program's Reviews
The Emily Program has so much educational aspect. I appreciate the care and thoughtfulness of Each Provider. It is a pleasure to Speak with Kristine at the Front Desk, she really helps me figure out Scheduling needs and is willing to find out an answer to any question.
As much as I was skeptical at first if this program could work this program does great work and are very helpful. There is so much support and even more support if it is needed. The work is hard but the support you receive makes it all lot more manageable.
Attending the group therapy has helped and working with the dietitian also helped. The staff at Emily is very kind and understanding.
Staff is very friendly, helpful, and caring; it's a great supportive environment to start recovery from an eating disorder.
The CARE IOP program is a true gem. It was one of the most supportive, helpful and therapeutic environments I've ever been in. The staff truly care about the participants and tailor the program to people's needs as much as they are able. My symptoms have greatly reduced and I feel confident moving into the future of outpatient treatment. Shout out to Leslie Miller and Mikalah Barem for being an absolutely amazing team!
The program itself: 4.5 Lindsey Waite as a counselor: 1 star. I cried in every body's office but hers. She said some things to me in session that were counter-productive. She made some things about her. She asked a series of extremely leading questions trying to get me to remember SA, even though I have never had any memories of the sort. She outright refuted my claim of cPTSD after I'd spent weeks in residential trying to accept the possibility that my childhood was less than stellar. (Like, I froze up at the sound of the night team's footsteps in the hallway.) The program as a whole failed to screen for video game addiction, so the entire time during treatment I was still engaging heavily in my primary addiction, which I've no doubt prolonged my time to recover substantially. Did they help me learn to eat? Yes. Do I regret my time there? No. But I wasn't a fan of some of the changes they were making when I last visited in 2018. And I didn't like how the changes made it so that people were to spend more and more time with Lindsey when she was the least effective of all the therapists I had. I hope they've improved some things since I was last there.
Expert therapy and recovery from eating disorders with a focus on real-life application! I am so grateful for The Emily Program!!!
GREAT programs honest and inclusive
My team never gave up on me and instead continued to help me find ways to keep challenging my eating disorder and take steps forward. They were always encouraging while also being direct which I appreciate. I feel like my team actually spent time getting to know me and worked with me instead of telling me how I "should" be doing recovery. Program is hard, recovery is hard and to have people there that understand and continue to cheer you on, no matter the struggles, makes all the difference.
They were unable to help my daughter. Apparently she was too much for them and they were not trained or equipped to handle her. Ultimately dropping her as a patient and giving us 2 other places to try which neither place took our insurance and could not help us either. SMH

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
