List of Amy M Canada Md's Reviews
Dr Canada did a very professional job. I went in with hand issues. She listened. She didn’t try to push unnecessary stuff on me just addressed the issue I had in the most gentle and professional manner. I’m not naturally keen on western medicine in general but she did a very good job of putting me at ease and assuring me we would get to the bottom of the problem together. She accepted the very direct and high energy of my nature without skipping a beat which is unusual (they usually wanna try to fix my adhd but my career with dot regulations says no meds so I’m usually at odds with medical professionals right from the gate) she understood and accepted that I wasn’t now or ever gonna look for issues for her to fix. If I have a problem I will tell her but otherwise she wouldn’t see me often (that gets most drs right in the craw to know I’m not a prescription mill guinea pig). Her summary did editorialize or embellish. She proved to be as direct as me. Great experience with a doc!
Best PCP I've had! Unfortunately, our health care system is setup in such a poor manner that doctors are expected to see a large amount of patients in a single day and have to complete insane amount of box clicking in order to see their patients. Dr. Canada has always been able to finish the "box clicking" portion of the exam quickly and then spent adequate time actively listening to my questions or concerns. She has excellent bedside manner and has always given adequate time in visits to listen to my concerns. In an industry that has ever tried to pull the humanity out of medicine, Dr. Canada, has been a breath of fresh air.
I really liked Dr. Canada. She really listened. Ordered a battery of tests to see if we could determine the cause of my problems. Took into consideration my family history and family illnesses. Lee
Used to be good. Now delegates all her work to residents as she sits upon high in judgement of everyone. Power has gone to her head. Almost glad to see her move on to Victoria! Gives me a reason to move on.
Doesn’t listen and is incredibly opinionated with regard to aspects of my life that has nothing to do with my concerns. Pushes medications with no testing. Go elsewhere
Boooooooòooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This doctor is very insensitive. She made a comment about my sexual history during my first patient visit with her that was embarrassing and completely unprofessional. And now after asking her if I would be eligible for a not excusing me from work during this COVID-19 crisis (I live with my parents who are both in the “high risk/immunosuppressed group) she told me no with absolutely no explanation. My mother literally has lupus which I explained to her and I work at a grocery store which is deemed “essential” during this time. I come in contact with hundreds of people a day and I am very scared of bringing something home to her. I have never had a doctor upset me so much so regularly. So unprofessional.
Perfect:)
My experience with Dr. Canada was great! She took the time with me to explain things, I did not feel rushed at all. She was personable and interested in getting to know me. I have recommended her to several of my friends! Joan
Horrible experience! I waited over a month for my annual physical. They were late calling me in because the elevator wasn’t working and a woman in a wheelchair had no way of getting down. They were awful and slow with her. When I finally got back there, the nurse asked me the normal questions. I told her I wanted a full physical. She got everything set up. She left the room and then I heard Amy yelling at her telling her she didn’t have time to do a physical etc. She then storms into the room and asked me what I was there for because she didn’t have time to do a physical and she didn’t think I needed one. I told her that I know my body and I do need one. She then told me that I would pay out of pocket because my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. I told her how unprofessional she was since I heard her yelling at the nurse. She didn’t seem to care. I left and sat in my car and cried. I called my insurance company and confirmed that they would pay for my physical every year if I wanted one.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
