List of Robert C Cruz Md's Reviews
Dr. Cruz is an outstanding dentist. As much work as I've had done, I've NEVER left in pain. He is gentle yet thorough. I've been through many dental places and he is by far THE BEST! I highly recommend! This is the kind of dentist you keep forever! He is phenomenal!
When I was a patient of dr Cruz I just adored him and thought the world of him. He's very patient and gentle all wonderful things. He did six front crowns for me. Upon moving and seeing another dentist, he said that there was far too much space between my real teeth and the crowns that bacteria and debris got in the space and I would need new crowns. (!) nevermind that blow,!he shaved my teeth down to NUBS. Way too small had another dentist done this. If these crowns fail, I will be forced to get implants which I was tying to avoid in the first place! I'm so sick about this.
I was very pleased with Dr. Cruz. He spent more time with me than my actual appointment length. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients which is nice and is very knowledgable.. I would reccommend him to anyone.
Dr Cruz is wonderful! I am very pleased with the service. Dr Cruz is gentle, professional, explains the procedure carefully. I highly recommend him.
Best dentist I ever went to period. He tells you exactly what he is going to do and how to expect it to feel. Very reassuring. I had a very deep cavity and he was very very gentle. From the injections to the drilling. A+ all the way!!!!!!
I was in desperate need of a third opinion, as my dentist didn't see too much going on with my teeth, and my second opinion thought my mouth was a disaster. Dr. Cruz was very calm, optimistic and well informed. I ask a lot of questions, and he reviewed everything I was worried about, even though I was clear I was probably going to go back to my primary dentist as he has been great to me for 15 years. If you want a kind, smart, soothing dentist, who knows what he is doing? He's your man. A friend of mine who is very high strung recommended him, and he was extremely helpful.
I recommend Dr. Cruz to everyone, he is gentle, informative and very friendly. I've had a couple major procedures done by him and I walked away completely pain free and with a healthy mouth. Loooooove him.
I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so about Dr Cruz. I had 3 crowns done with him appx 2 years ago, all which had major issues. One completely fell off 6 months after being attached. Dr Cruz did not cement it properly. The other two I am in the process of having redone due to their placement. They are too far apart and have allowed debris to enter above the crowns causing bacteria to accumulate and infection. My current dentist said I should go back to Dr Cruz and have him correct his work, but I would rather have it done the right way this time. His office also overcharged me $900 dollars to have 2 of the crowns put on. They said my insurance only covered a small portion. They were of course mistaken and eventually refunded me the entire amount. Again, please be cautious when having work done with Dr Cruz. He has caused me a great deal of grief due to his poor work.
i went to dr. cruz in feb. 2010 for a post/crown work after getting a root canal. the office was clean, close to the subway, and the staff was courteous. dr. cruz was friendly and very professional. i went in once for cleaning & crown impression and a follow-up visit to get the crown in. he recommended porcelain, contrary to my previous dentist who did gold, because it is cheaper, more durable and looks better (apparently, some docs do gold bc it takes less work on their part).cost seemed very reasonable - i have aetna dental ppo (they're in-network), and was around $650 for post & crown. much cheaper than other places in NY i contacted.if dr. cruz takes your insurance (esp. if he's in-network), definitely pay him a visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
