My first visit and impression of DR Lai, thought he was a pleasant person. He talked me into taking a medicine that i had previously taken, but did not do well on. I repeatedly told him about it and that i was fine on my current med. He then stated to me that if i had the same problem again, that i could go back to taking my old med again. BIG LIAR!!! After i started on the other med, he removed the med i had been taking-the one that was working for me. From my list of medications, without my knowledge of doing so. He will not return my calls about the problems i was having with that new med, the one he forced me to take, kept pushing it on me. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS DR TO ANYONE. HÉ's NOT HONEST WITH HIS PATIENTS , AND THE TRUST BETWEEN A DR AND PAITENT IS NOT THERE. SO JUST TO LET PEOPLE KNOW, HE HAS LEFT ME WITHOUT BLOOD PRESURE MEDS FOR OVER A WEEK. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DR. SEEK A DR THAT WILL ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THE PATIENT. THE PATIENT KNOWS THEIR BODY AND WHAT WORKS FOR THEM. NOT HAVING MEDS THAT DONT WORK FORCED UPON THEM, AND THEN THIS DR TURN HIS BACK ON YOU. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. I AM SEEKING OTHER NOTIFCATIONS ON THIS DR.

He was polite, friendly, listened to me and responded to my questions and concerned. I considered him to be a doctor I would have as my regular doctor if mine became unavailable.

Very bright, knowledgeable and helpful doctor. He is concerned about your health problems and issues. He is also very personable and has a sense of humor. He doesn't rush you through your appointment like some doctors do.

Absolutely horrible bedside manner. Doesn't spend enough time with patients and does not listen to patient input. Easily the worst GP I have been to in 20 years. PeaceHealth can't seem to recruit and keep good doctors, and Dr. Lai proves it. Avoid him if you can.
